New Revolution rumours

Over time, we've been hearing many rumours on the Revolution. Today, I had a conversation over MSN with one of the guys I know who work at a Nintendo-related company in Europe. What he said...

(..)Nintendo is in talks with all its partners worldwide to make sure that the Revolution, truely delivers some revolutionary features. All these at the moment are not officialy confirmed, but our source from Nintendo gave as a glimpse.
- Revolution will be able to browse the internet, with an Opera browser just like the DS. You might be able to use a USB keyboard for that, but Nintendo won't manufacture its own one.
- Revolution will be able to browse specific web pages at the internet, that are only accessible via the Revolution! This will be something like an Online Worldwide Nintendo Club.
- Nintendowifi.com will be accessible via the Revolution with multilanguage support.
- Revolution will also feature a multilanguage menu support. This applies more to the European market, as every country will see its language and not only the usual English, German, etc menu.

He stressed out though that he couldn't give 100% guarantee on the above mentioned, but in the past about 90% of everything he ever revealed to me came out true. Lock if necessary.

We're supposed to be able to browse the internet on the Revolution in the glory of standard definition? Last time I checked, the Revolution didn't support HD resolutions, did it? Unless I'm mistaken, PlanetWeb for the win. ...Well, as the Dreamcast showed, this is possible in SD, but it won't exactly look as God intended, either. How would Nintendo guarantee it won't look halfhearted, if this is even in the cards?

RUMORTON! If it's true, I'll be happy. Browsing using the Rev for the win.

web browsing on consoles is such a gimmick. I got over that during the dreamcast days.

LOOK MA, IM BROWSING THE WEB ON MY GAME CONSOLE

vga monitor out.

YOU FAIL.

Considering the capabilities of the Revolution controller, I demand the web interface to be nothing short of the system Tom Cruise uses in Minority Report.

So we will be able to browse the web with the Revolution. Whooptie-fuckin-doo. I want to see if the new gameplay is going to really be "revolutionary." I want to see if WFC will have any features like XBL has (matchmaking, look up friends, etc), or will it be open ended like the PS2.

Nintendo's closed online service? Mmmmmm... to much money for waste.

I Don't believe it.

Bye, I'm gonna sucide. Not getting Rev Points today was a critical hit for me. sigh...

Mere speculation, but maybe this has something to do with the how nintendo will handle downloading games for the legacy console?

Please...no more Rev rumor threads :( If you don't have real information...just...don't...bother...

Even the DS was multilingual (though not as expansive as this seems to be). I wonder if Nintendo's serious about the Korean and Chinese markets now.

who cares....how are any of these revolutionary next gen features. Besides the multilingual menus of course, that shit is gangbusters.
