My inner graphics whore tells me all those screens are lousy looking.

I think he means self shadowing.

You have to remember that this game is going to throw hundreds (probably) of enemies at you at once. I'm pretty sure there is some bump mapping going on in those screens(it was in earlier screens), but I'd be surprised to see self shadowing make the cut.

Self-shadowing (like in that render - bike on Sam) is gone.

I don't know what happened, it was in those very early shots.

SS had always an impressive engine, no game at the time could match its texture resolution or drawing distance.

SS2... it just doesn't look that good now.

Serious Sam is one of my favorite FPS series. It's the only one that doesn't feel exactly like everything else.

Serious Sam is right up there with Doom on my list of favorite FPS games. I can't wait for this one! I loved the original. More than the semi-sequel on the Cube/PS2. Of course, I'm waiting for the Xbox version.

Serious Sam does rock. Excellent series. I would love to see this on the next generation of consoles. What I would love to see even more is a new Doom that plays like Serious Sam on the next generation of consoles. That would rock so hard.

I'm usually right up there with the dirtiest of graphics whores, but for this game it doesn't matter to me.
