これは糞ゲー!ソニックファン、自殺しよう!

実はずっと前からこんな糞ゲーがやりたかったんだ。自分の尻穴を舐めたいほど面白いゲーはセガさんしか作れないんだ。 本当に感動します。

are they just reusing the art and engine from the 6 year old DC Sonic games?
Same thing I was thinking - "This looks like a Dreamcast game."

Oh Dreamcast... :(

e: the road textures in the second pic are hilarious

What does it say? :(

If they removed the gun from Shadow the game could be taken as something serious...Shadow with a gun ? WTF were they thinking ?

One thing I find interesting is that it doesn't look too bad, yet it looks like a Dreamcast game. Not to derail, but it makes me wonder how far DC would be if it was still around today. Certainly not above Xbox, GC or PS2 in visuals, but ... well one can dream.

The guns don't really look that out of place when you are actually playing the game, and most of them are fantasy-style pistols. You forget about "OMG what is he doing with a gun?" sentiments rather quickly when absorbed in the gameplay.

In fact, I think you could have played the E3 demo like a standard Sonic Adventure game if you'd wanted to and left the guns out of the picture entirely.

One more thing: Shadow wields swords too. A portion of the demo involves cutting down enemies who are impervious to bullets with an energy sword.

I have a feeling Sonic Team will botch the level design personally. Hey ST! Make it a game full of Sonic/Shadow type levels that were in Sonic Adventure 2!

by having pictures turned off for stealthier work browsing, I have dodged a bullet.

That's the image that will forever be burnt into my mind when i think of Shadow. Similarly, there's the image of Amy being probed by E-102 drawn by a local artist. It would be different if the promo shots had him with one of the generic game blasters in the game, but the sight of him with a Glock (or whatever it is) will forever evoke laughs and tears.

Despite that silliness, the game actually looks fun, and on par with the Sonic/Shadow levels of SA2.

You can pretend you're playing it now. Just grab any nearby controller and hold up on the analog stick!

Loops are automated because the camera pans out and second guessing the direction you would have go would be too difficult. The reason the camera pans out is to give a sense of speed. Early demos of Sonic Adventure had the camera sit behind Sonic on a loop, the Team felt it didn't convey the sense of speed effectively so it was changed.

Automated loops have happened on all 3D Sonics like Sonic 3D and Sonic R.

Looking like a Dreamcast version of Sonic is fine considering Sonic Adventure 2 for DC still looks good.

I'd guess that multiplatform Renderware Sonic on Xbox and GC has been held back some graphically for accomodations for the PS2 version. The Dreamcast games used large textures, but the PS2 doesn't support large texture sizes. Texturing has likely dropped in resolution rather than having multiple little textures grouped to make big textures in many cases. Also, the self-shadowing from Sonic Adventure 2 which Dreamcast could do fast using its modifier volumes might not be in the new Sonics if the effect wasn't converted to a more general stencil implementation on PS2, GC, and Xbox.

I wish this game would come out and suck already so I wouldn't have to look at any more pictures of it.

well I guess I could just not open the threads, but thats besides the point
