Wow they usually turn around with this stuff pretty fast but geez. Didn't the PSP just come out like last week? And the Schiavo thing has been going for about 3 weeks in the national media. This is great haha.

2 good ones this season, 2 awful ones.

it seems that there's really no grey area here... it's only one or the other this season.

and I laughed my ass off at Michael sniffing the marker the whole time, too. Just so random.

I saw the whole thing with Kenny commanding the troops as an Ender's Game reference. I was sad that this wasn't already mentioned in the thread.

Very good episode, easily the best of the new season so far. I didn't think it was quite as good as the Kenny Dies episode from Season 5 (probably my favorite episode ever). I love when Trey and Matt poke fun at serious issues with absolutely no mercy. Also, did anybody notice the great but subtle Road Warrior reference in tonights episode?

Yeah, that's what I thought. Right when they talked about how great Kenny was in the simulations, I thought of that book.

I liked how the angels kept using generic quotes that reference Biblical stuff, like "heaven help us."

I can see how it might have been interpreted as a Last Starfighter reference, as that was sort of a dumbed-down Ender's Game now that I think about it. With Kenny being a child, playing a game and mastering it while controlling millions of units simultaneously, clearly Ender's Game references. Anyone know anything about the movie?

This is definitely an episode they could have dragged out over two different weeks... I think the reason it got weak as it ended was because they had to cram so much crap into the last 10 minutes. I mean, we're talking the final Schiavo resolution, the jokes, the lawyers, the protestors, and then teh stuff between heaven and hell and kenny.

I don't think this can compare in terms of greatest episodes ever. There's sooo many great episodes. Just looking through my list, like, All About Mormons. And some of the Christmas episodes, like the musical: "There goes Jeffrey Dahmer, with a festive christmas ham, after he has sex with it he'll eat up all he can, and there goes John F. Kennedy, reunited with his son *Kennedy's singing* Reunited for the holidays god bless us everyone!"

Satans boyfriends name in "Handicapped People go to Hell pt. 1 and 2" was Chris.

It wasn't the Matrix, it was supposed to be Constantine... but yeah the episode rocked. :D

For the person who asked how they got it done so quickly, if I recall it only takes them a few days to a week to "film" an episode since it's all done digitally now.

I'm not arguing whether the show referenced ender's game, but The Last Starfighter came out before the Ender book. I know Ender existed as a short story earlier but I don't know how similar it was or how much exposure it got.

Yeah, it was a mix of The Last Starfighter and Ender's Game. As soon as he got to level 9 in the game that quick I knew The Last Starfighter reference was coming, though.

It airs again every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night at midnight plus Thursday at 10.
