Anyway, I can confirm for the first time by looking at these screens that the SMB1 levels have been given names, ALA SMB2. "Walking" and "blocks" are both SMB1 levels with SMB2 backgrounds.

Thats a little worrisome, actually. Seeing that, and knowing sega, leads me to believe that delux might be a "remix" of the two games with levels pulled from each, plus some new ones, instead of ALL the levels from 1 and 2 as originally claimed. If nothing else they're mixing SMB1 and SMB2 levels for the story mode.

Probably because we're close to the end of the current console generation cycle. They're milking the franchise with ports/remixes, pacing themselves for the next-gen.

Fuck your fanboy bullshit. More is more. I bought the old ones and I'll be glad to buy the super sized one as well. The ridged Xbox controller will work just fine and it's nice to have all the party games on one disc. Same whine, different thread. Obviously it doesn't take Sega the same amount of time to do an enhanced port that it does to do an entirely new game, but as there is a lot of new material for fans to enjoy that's great for said fans. It's dumb that it's not coming to GC, but welcome to last year, lot's of games get that treatment now.
