New Top Spin 2 (360) screens - 56k, no

Ugh... I am a big fan of Top Spin, but this just doesn't look 'next-gen' enough. Character models are just way off.

The long distance arena shots look great, but the models look like rubberised retards. If it looks good enough in motion and plays like the first one I'll pick it up.

EA Chicago needs to make a tennis game. They are being wasted on modeling muscle men, when they could be doing so much more :O

Easily the best model, but the self shadowing looks glitchy as fuck.

IAWTP.

Also, PAM could use some of NBA2K's character modelers.

This is borderline impressive. I love my 360 but a lot of this stuff looks like trash. It seems like a trend in most of the sports games released thus far. The arenas are spectacular but the player models are lacking.

Those are some dissapointing screens. The models definitely look 'off' in certain aspects which is suprising, since I was really impressed when I saw the models in the first game. I remember playing the original and if you remember you could either see an instant replay of the point or a reaction from the player. I would often opt for the players reaction just to look at the models because they were so well put together and I had never seen facial hair and stubble so well done in a game before :lol

Sarcasm? The model looks good but the self-shadowing on the shirt is broken.

His hands look like they are made of wood and his bicep is cutting into his forearm.

The shoes and socks look tough...

everything else looks like shit and I really dont care about Top Spin's gameplay either. I'll wait for VT3.

Still playing Virtua Tennis world tour on the PSP... I want a next-gen tennis console game as good as that..

That doesn't look very good. Next-gen has been really disappointing so far.
is it sarcarm that you have or are you just ignoring the fact that there are great looking games like fight night 06 and pgr3 out there?

Wow, gonna have to wait for Sega to port Virtua Tennis instead. Might be worth a rental though just for kicks.

wow, that Williams model is horrendous. I belive they just told the developers "make a model of a black chick" without at least lending them a picture of who they were supposed to be creating.

Doesn't blow you away visually, but if it plays like Top Spin should then I'll buy it. That is if it's cheaper than $60.

You mean like a water-downed version of Virtua Tennis?

This doesn't look too impressive, the players are very alike their real-life counter-parts.

Wow, who knew that tennis has so much "shine" to it. Seriously, I'm getting sick of "next-gen graphics," when all that term seems to allude to is freakishly unnatural body shine. EA can't seem to get enough of it, and now 2k is getting in on the action. Pretty soon, I'll have to start wearing sunglasses when I play video games.

It's sun oil!

:lol

3D crowds are nice, but way too regimented. It'd be nice if they were not all exactly on the centerline of the seats - mess up the view a little so it doesn't look too measured.
