I personally think this game looks better than Gears of War. And I swear I really do think this.

TTP said:I dont think it's real time either. Digi-guys site states these videos are using "in-game assets" but doesn't go a step further telling us it's also real time generated stuff.

Doom_Bringer said:Very interesting, you can see what happens when the blur goes away. Heavenly Sword is going have similar results.
TTP said:It is indeed. So? This doesnt necessarely mean those trailers are generated in real time. It may just be a Killzone-like projection. Killzone demo video also supposedly uses in-game assets.

pieyow said:Okay simple test to find out if a movie preview is "actual game play footage" or a "CG rendered cinematic". Ask yourself these questions:
1. "Is there a HUD/Interface being shown in the movie footage?"
2. "Does it look like someone (ie the player) is playing the game?"
3. "Does the camera perspective change for cinematic affect on the fly, and if so, does it look like someone is controlling the main character and the action during these transitions?"
If the answer is NO to more then one of these questions, it's not game footage, it's cinematic footage. You don't play cinematic footage for a FPS or Action based game because the player controls what's going on. When they don't control the character, it's no longer game play but a cinematic.
