I've had a few iOS games die over the years and it has really soured me on mobile as a games platform. It's too bad that backwards compatibility isn't as rigorously enforced as it is on PC.

My Mom has an iPad Air and just played her first video game in the form of Monument Valley. I was potentially going to recommend Ghost Trick but it sounds like it won't work. That sucks.

If you purchase a game and it doesn't work, Apple will issue a refund. We got hit by a bunch of IAP refunds when we announced your online game was going to be shutdown.

The developer/publisher has to pay the full price of the refund, including Apple's 30% cut, so a refund costs them money.

They all work perfectly on my iPad Mini 2 on iOS8.1.3

Deathsmiles is broken as of 8.1.

Cave's support has always been excellent on iOS (awful on Android) and speedy with the updates.
Usually in a matter of a couple of weeks their games get patched to work.
