Yeah, it's immature to get upset over something like this especially when they're nice people, if in a smarmy sort of way, but ugggggggghhhh. Must repeat to myself: vandalism is wrong, vandalism is wrong, vandalism is wrong, vandalism is wrong...

Chill the fuck out dude. At least they're supporting someone. Get pissed at the people who don't vote at all. At least there you've got a real complaint, because their vote could have helped your guy get elected.

my next door neighbor back home is apparently running for mayor so i find it funny when i see these candidacy signs with his face all over them all over the place (read: around my block)

My neighborhood was full of them the last election cycle. I was ready to put out a Nader sign just to spite them (of course that's what they would want though).

It's terribly pointless to me anyways. My state has like a 15 percentage difference between the two major candidates.

You do realize that this statement works the other way also? Do you not understand that people can have different opinions than you?

For those who support none of the candidates are simply tools to be utilized in your master plan!

Uh yeah, I do in fact realize my emotional reaction is immature, which is why I mentioned that in my post.

Well, acknowledging the fact that you're doing something wrong doesn't suddenly make it acceptable.

I'm not DOING anything, jerkhead, other than letting off steam on this board by describing the admittedly immature emotional reaction I happened to have. Or are we policing thoughtcrimes now?

Uh oh! Another desperate democrat. LOL

Let them have their sign! I don't go around keying cars that have a Kerry sticker on it, and unfortunately I see them all over the place.

Oh, so you want to play the name caliing game, eh? Well ok then, you dipshit, you did do something, you started a thread on this subject. You do know how the interent works, don't you? It's not merely a transparent extension of your though process, moron.

Calm down. He said nothing to indicate that he had actually done anything, and you, for whatever reason, assumed otherwise.

Another person completely missing the point. Yes, he stated in the first post that he hadn't done anything.

And you nevertheless stated that he was "doing something wrong."

Fonebone: I think that Error Macro is trying to say that venting on the internet about this topic is unacceptable.

edit: I'm a bit lost after reading fonebone's last post

*sigh*

He admitted he was doing wrong by having an immature reaction. That is what I was referring to. Yet he feels that by admitting the problem beforehand, it gives him carte blanche to make a worthless thread such as this one.

imho, "[un]acceptable]" is too strong of a word here. This thread is just like one that complains about Sega not making enough Nintendo games... not something bad enough to be considered outside the bounds of acceptance.

Well, starting this thread isn't unacceptable but I guess it's politically and socially irresponsible/counterproductive especially in the current political/social climate. Wish I could delete it

Well, at least you haven't knocked it over like I would've done. :p

No, actually, I don't think I would've. People are going to have differing opinions from you. Perhaps you could try to engage them in a debate about why they're voting for Bush/Cheney? Don't be hostile about it though.

The problem is, a lot of Bush supporters can be extremely irrational, and fear any kind of debate. But at least in that case, you'd have the highground, and voila, no more guilty conscience!

No shit you are. The fuckin truth is like poison to Bush supporters. It's sickening.

LOLZ BUSH CAN'T PRONOUNCE WORDS!
Another reason why I loathe most supporters of the Bush admin. They outright ignore the actual arguments that make them look like idiots, and then claim no such argument even exists, making them look even stupider.
