Man, stop, don't say The Getaway! One of my most beloved classics of all times. It's owned by London Studio, which is part of Sony's WWS! So they should be doing something all this time? Is this the rumored classic coming to life? And yes, they already have plenty for ip's, they only need to secure the good studios like Bluepoint that have great history with them, one guy here suggest to me.:messenger_sunglasses:
Blueopoint, Fromsoftware and I'm good.

He just deleted that

BTW Take 2 is a publicly traded company.. "buying them" is quite a different proposal than buying a private company like Zenimax. It's incredibly unlikely anyone is buying or taking over Take 2. The price would be insanely high.

Market Cap - 18.904B

Usually it takes at least a 30% premium to buy a public company, so that would be at least $25 Billion to buy Take 2.

I mean, paying $18B for Take 2 is massive, but worth it.
I don't think Sony should respond by buying another publisher 😂. Buying big publishers is risky and may not end up well.

I prefer Sony keep buying Studios and build new ones. It seems like every new IP they produce becomes big. They do not need to fully relay on established IPs.

A smart move is to secure a few big games as PS Plus monthly free games, and lock up a game like Elden Ring or something like that. Won't cost too much. Publish Kojima's next game again, etc. Just keep doing what they've been doing.

Sony warring with microsoft in acquisitions is a lost war for sony

sony must keep doing what they do but be aggressive and consumer friendly

I do not see sony respond big unless it sees a drop in ps5 pre orders or sales

buying bethesda is a megaton yes but it is a risky move xbox has to bring more than 7 billion to make even

if game pass failed to meet expectations in revenue after all these investments I can see the xbox devision closing down

No definitely not. Buying existing ip/studios is reductive to the industry. It takes away and doesn't generate anything new. Sony focuses on creating their own ip.

Sony buying Insomniac could be an argument, but that studio is Spider-Man which is a Sony ip, and doesn't have ongoing franchises outside of that. Indeed, the studio is traditionally a Sony 2nd party since ps2.

It's dead, just like Brandon McNamera's Whore of the Orient.

Bethesda's marquee video games have struggled in the back half of this console generation, beginning in 2016 with the underperforming Dishonored 2. In 2017, the company shipped the much-delayed Prey, along with The Evil Within 2, neither of which found massive commercial success. The online iteration of the Fallout series, Fallout 76, debuted in 2018 and is still trying to find its sea legs nearly two years into its existence. Video game publishers keep their sales numbers quiet barring tremendous success, so it's tough to say how well Rage 2, Wolfenstein 2, or Wolfenstein: Youngblood performed, though the sales information that made it to the public wasn't promising, to say the least.

The only reason Zenimax was only available was because their IPs have been struggling pretty bad this gen, but there is no doubt this is still a huge get for Microsoft. It may have been worth it just for Skyrim and ID Software alone. Still, it'll be a while before we see this deal come to fruition. Starfield, Elder Scrolls, and Skyrim are still years away.

The bolded is like the current motto of Xbox to me lol

Sure.... MS just gifted 7,5B $ for nothing 😉

I think you're missing where MS is going with this "Xbox as a platform" strategy. Their goal, as Microsoft does in it's other arenas, is to make 'XBOX GAMES' available everywhere. They want to become the Windows of video games. You don't do that by being restricted in platforms. 'Embrace and extend' is what they called it in the software market. Telling you, Microsoft is done with hardware if this generation doesn't turn out to be VERY successful for them.

I think this is more boost for my earlier contention that MS was going to get out of video games, then changed their minds. That's why they started buying developers again after getting rid of a ton. That's why they're 2 or more years behind in producing XSX titles from those developers. But they want their games EVERYWHERE. I really think that unless XSX and XSS seriously outperform what the Xbox One did, MS won't make hardware anymore but will focus on the games.

That's BS. I've pre-ordered the disk version of Spiderman. There IS a physical disk release. These freaking people and their dumb Tweets! Twitter TRULY is the end of civilization.

If you've got the Miles ultimate edition the Miles game is on the disk, the remaster comes as a code for digital redemption. So they're right....

first of all, xbox boss clearly stated in national television that while they will honor Bethesda's current deals, after that..... it's gonna be a "case-by-case" scenario.
to put it in more financial terms and words:

then, about the part of your post that I bolded....
basically this is what happens when one believes in all the stupid rumors that serve as easy to consume foolish fanboy ammunition:
after one point you may lose touch with reality.

these rumors were fired up and runned wild at 2017. think about that...
we are talking about the same year microsoft launched xbone x, a truly fantastic piece of a toy, started working full-time on this generation hardware,
and steadily focused on their software offer & production, strategically pouring billions. gamepass came, a hoard of first parties came, a total revamp of infrastructure and aiming came, today's news came, and you can bet all you want this is not the end of the efforts. in fact, we are far away from that... we are about to see the start of those 2017 efforts come to fruition.

I'm sorry if you believe all the stupid rumors. :) What I was saying wasn't based on that. Just based on speculation about what MS actions over the years meant. Why did they start getting rid of their 1st party studios? The bulk of them as I recall. Then the stories of the XSX dev kits being "late." As I've detailed out before, I think they had the design but shelved it for awhile as they were getting out of the busines.s Then changed tacks, buying devs, etc. like they had before. That's all. Just my own speculation that at least somewhat matches up with MS actions, etc. I mean, how many exclusives came out for that Xbox One this generation? What happened there? You don't have to agree with it. See the only thing stupid, is assuming you know what someone else is thinking and why, especially when all you have to go on are some floating illuminated dots on the screen. :messenger_winking_tongue:

I feel tokyo ghostwire/evil within or future games are created by tango gameworks(a Japanese studio subsidiary by zenimax that you know MS owns now) I feel these I could feel it these game couldnt enter exclusively route due it's targeting Japanese audience first then worldwide due current Xbox popularity on japan

lol i love how Jim ryan has completely thrown away all the goodwill his predecessors had created over 10 long years. they are basically a laughing stock on twitter at the moment.

of course Jeff is a loser xbox fanboy who has been doing this all summer before sony even fucked up. and i spent 7 years waiting for ms to launch these so called games and they didnt. lets wait and see what bethesda had planned for next gen because they still have no first party games coming out in 2-3 years.

Well, the XBox Series S and Series X have both had their prices for Brazil revealed just now.

SS: R$ 2.999,90 ($554)
SX: R$ 4.999,90 ($924) (same price as PS5 with BD drive)

Fuck this place, seriously.

Good luck, with mine only having 3 XsX up for grabs hope no one is there when I roll in around 3 hours before doors open.

If I can somehow get a second one I'd be happy to work on getting that over to you if you're out of luck by launch? Least I can do after the assist on the PS5 preorder.
