The fuck are you talking about? Ok since you have every major and minor retail company sales numbers from around the entire world why don't you just do us all a favor and break it down right now.

Amazon is easy, we have seen the pictures from retailers for the s/x and how they were saying they had more playstations. The fuck you on about?

Obviously Sony is going to outsell MS in most markets, but i'd wait for official numbers before going off of random internet leaks and screenshots.
 
You can go to Amazon and see yourself. They labelled it as something else.
Yeah, I know the sales figures for the PS5 would be insane in the US.

Seem's a little deliberate that someone would mis-lable them but I don't want to jump into conspiracy theories lol

I'd think is plausible for MS to have a bigger shipment to US market than Sony cause the latter has to think at worldwide markets.

They would no doubt allocate more for the US. It is their home territory and of importance to get more in peoples hands because of PS5 shortages.
 
Good news about game file sizes.

Spider-Man Miles Morales is 50 GB on PS5, but 52 GB on PS4.
Spider-Man Remastered (w/ all DLC) is 55 GB on PS5, but 69 GB on PS4.

So the better looking next gen version is actually smaller in file size. Good sign showing that games won't need to double in file size from their current sizes, despite the upgraded visuals (and higher quality art assets, etc.)

So we have 2 direct PS4 v PS5 comparisons in Spider-Man and Spider-Miles and both games are smaller in next gen, despite the next gen upgrades. Looks like next gen games should remain similar in size to current gen, or even shrink.
 
In europe it will be 10:1 judging by preorders interest. The only thing that could change that is more fuckery by Jim Ryan

Games are becoming more expensive, more of a risk for share holders, so makes sense, unless u get a surprise hit like fall guys or something, gambling on a 100m game like anthem, to be a flop, this bad business from a share holders PoV

It's a business that only Sony could master with its insane quality control over all their studios. Microsoft WILL NEVER be as competitive, only Nintendo can.

(PS Plus) It hit 41.5 million subscribers at the end of March, a 5 million-user increase compared to around this time last year when Sony reported PlayStation Plus exceeded over 36 million active users.


Now let's know more about those $1 gamepass subscribers. :lollipop_tears_of_joy: Xbox Division needs to beat PSN first, then try to compete with PlayStation as a whole.

Europe and Asia are way way more than 2:1. In most european countries its 80-90% PlayStation.

I will also add that Gamestop Ireland and Smyths have been told to take no more pre-orders for any reason... they have enough orders to go into next year by several months.

As me and others pointed out. Duplicate assets are a big part of massive game files. That and compression being not as good. With better compression and no duplication, games can use better assets with little to no impact on game size (or a downgrade, as seen here)

PS5 is not on the US chart as it was miss-labeled.

Xbox & PS sales are not even this gen. It's not going to change with the new products. It's going to be all markets. Xbox are not even in some regions PS is in. PS domination. Xbox going to be using xbox 1 numbers to pad sales.

I think there's a better chance to preorder a PS5 Friday if you haven't been able to get one. I'm sure lesser people will be in the know about Wario and his tweets lol

Edit: I just called Gamestop and they confirmed that they will be doing another push of pre-orders. Just physical. This next wave will not make it on launch date. Could be a few days or a week after.

Stores open at 12pm EST.

I disagree. I don't have the expectation of getting a remastered version of the game for free. Your old game will still run on PS5 and probably get a slight bump in performance. They are putting more work into the product and using new assets. With the cost to produce a AAA title like Spiderman, I'm glad to give the studio a bit of extra revenue. I purchased TLOU remaster day 1.

Now we need to know if PS5's copy has LOD's or just one model then it gets rendered per frame polygon budget! The difference is very amazing, putting in mind that the PS5 quality assets are already much more higher. The Kraken's 10% compression advantage as well is doing some work.
 
I reporting what I was told. Xbox had more console in retailers world wide then Sony did when pre orders started. Why GameStop only had so many pre store I can't say. World wide how console allocation went I do not know. Just told Xbox had more consoles. I could see Xbox having more in North America and other popular countries they do well in. While Sony had more in Europe and other places. But I have been told by more then one person Xbox had more consoles total. I can't wait for launch and see how thing brake down. Because I know I'm Asia and Europe I can see PS5 doing 2:1 ratio to Xbox.

But I wonder, the OG XBox had a 8GB hard drive, did it not? What exactly was the hard drive used for? I mean, 8GB was way too much just for game saves. Did some games use it for data streaming, like on later consoles, or were all XBox games being streamed from the disc? Because I don't remember ever having to wait for any game to be installed, it was plug-and-play, just like on PS2 and Gamecube.
I remember downloading music to my hard drive. Had about 4 cds loaded 😂😂
A few friends in middle school used to root there's and save games onto it

Its probably the lack of redundancy and better compression. But I doubt Spider-Man has no LODs, its not UE5. Nothing is yet. And the only Sony game that uses UE4 is Days Gone.

Agreed. And its not some lazy port like 3D Mario Allstars, and its not a full price fee. Its $20.

Who said that is exclusive to UE5? It's made around PS5, not the other way around. You can see how insanely sharp many games look already from PS Studios. I think Ratchet has it. Spiderman MM? Not sure. It's actually not so new as Nvidia showed it few years back, and AC Valhalla screenshots show some rough examples of that running on PC. On Ratchet the polygons are too small that the image is too clean to be true to many skeptical people before. That fast GPU and fast SSD + I/O are doing something amazing.

The no LODs thing is from the UE5 demo right? Nanite? Thats Epic's proprietary tech.
