That's because their ideology's goal is not to reach equality, but for them to get in power. They hate white people and every other person they consider "privileged" and oppressors, the same way many socialists were motivated by the hate for the rich more than real care for the poor.
Intersectionality creates a hierarchy by focusing on immutable characteristics (race, sexual orientation, religion, age, etc.) instead of uniting people like can be done with class. It's destined to fail because of in-group fighting, and we've seen that with Trans vs Gender Critical or Black vs Asian.
