The more I think about it the more it seems like MOBA made a very bad investment. The site's complete disintegration under the current regime seems pretty inevitable. And this sale will probably only hasten its demise. Also, what's to stop them doing the same thing they did to this site to Resetera at some point in the future. This is how the woke infection works. It doesn't matter, the mod team will be largely replaced by the end of 2021. MOBA wants to further develop the website, kinda difficult to do when mods are giving perma bans for "Dismissing concerns" meaning when you literally disagree with somebody's opinion. It's a simple application of 'safe spaces' in the Internet context. So you either get rid of that or you will be left with what they have now.

Just get rid of it, 100 inflammatory members will throw a hissy fit and leave and the rest can actually discuss videogames.

They need to let go honestly. It's gone beyond the point of right/wrong now. The users obviously dont feel heard or shit is being taken seriously. As the people with the privilege of power in the discussion, they need to empathise and reassure. Right now, they are exactly the same as these people on twitter and social media who have chosen to do something as a venture of improvement rather than a venture of interest. And all they really want to say is 'I know better, do as I say not as I do'.

And she BS'ed about standing by her spoiler comment (the fragile line), because she even changed that line to something different as less agitating, and even got rid of the fragile part.

Isn't your volunteer role to help steer things in the right direction, mediate and generally keep things clean?

Instead, Era gets some of the most combative, patronising and snarky cunts to do that job. How can anyone be happy to post in that sort of environment, the admin/mods are actively conspiring against their own userbase.
