Duke Ondoll (Aundor?) - The keeper of the Skycity Bhujerba. On the surface he seems to be on good relations with the Empire, but on the other hand he gives rebel troops his support.
There are also whispers that he is also Cid in FFXII.
Translations for the License Board (from top-left, clockwise):
Martial Arts: The weaponless art using bare fists to attack.
HP+100: This licenses increases your maximum HP by 100.
Potion Knowledge 2: Increases the healing effectiveness when using the healing item Potion.
Desperation Defense-UP: When your HP is low, your defense power goes up!

See I've been wondering recently if there aren't more playable characters in the game that they just haven't been told about yet? I remember Matsuno saying that this would have the largest cast of any recent FF, but I can't remember if that comment was in regards to the playable cast, or just the whole main cast, including NPCs, which from the sounds of it this new guy will be.
I'd be suprised if there isn't a single playable lizard guy, I mean once again Matsuno did talk about about lots of different races but so far Fran is the only non-human PC. Speaking of races, I thought as well as the ones that appeared in FFTA there were going to be some new ones as well.
Of course that was all coming from Matsuno and might have been stripped back over the course of the delays. I hope it hasn't though and they are just keeping things under wraps.

Well, considering it's only 20 days away from the release date (that's only TWO more issues of V-Jump after this one!) and we only barely know the basics of the gameplay systems.... I'm not sure what to think.
It should be noted though, that everything Matsuno promised at E3 2003 has come true. Hints dropped back then, and references from that E3 demo (still the most "complete" playable demo to this day) are all intact and make more and more sense now as we learn more about the game. This implies that nothing has been cut from the game and if anything, the delay allowed them to most likely flesh out and polish many things about the game. Hopefully anyway.

I have to say that at this stage I'm looking forward to FFXII much more for its gameplay than its story. But maybe that's just cos we don't really know anything about the story just yet...
This game is going to ruin my Easter holiday. >_<
