LATIN, MATRIPEDICABUS, DO YOU SPEAK IT
NFLN crew doubting Tebow, Irvin and Sapp saying a bunch of QBs have had the same intangibles but also had basic QB skills and could more often than not convert 3rd and 7s. Sapp also made a Kordell comparison!

On ESPN Clayton had some really snarky comment about how Stafford is really going to ave to try to match Tebows output today. I dont get why people bag on him so much in the media. There are plenty of guys that were drafted in the 1st round that couldnt play QB. Seems odd they give Tebow such a hard time.

What? Failed first round quarterbacks get shit on constantly by the media and have throughout the history of the league. This is nothing new.

After 4 games? Once the guy shows he cant play then fine pile on, but it seems so early in this case. I dont think he will ever be good, but I think he should at least get a chance.

Satistically speaking , he has been better in his start so far than Aaron. But then again Aaron was learning the ABC's about playing QB on the bench the first few years

Nice spelling.

And if by "statistically" you mean a bullshit stat like QBR, yes.

But real stats:
• Erron 7-0, 71% CP
• Teebers 1-Whoever Gives A Shit, 45% CP

P.S. Kiss the ring

P.P.S. Fuck posting in this hellhole during my Bye Week! Back to Hattiesburg!

*sips*

This is beast, QBR is everything to him. It gives him valid proof that QB's like Jason Campbell and Joe Flacco are supposedly talented QB's.

EPA/P is where it's at.

Flacco is on par with Tarvaris Jackson and Mark Sanchez this season.

Tebow is on par with Matt Ryan, Jason Campbell and Mike Vick.

The sheer dismissal of any kind of advanced metrics is one of the things that bug me about football fans (some of them, some are cool with seeing where advanced data goes).

Maybe your favorite player really isn't that good and maybe that guy you hate, loathe, despise might not actually be that bad.

Both Brandon Jacobs and Justin Tuck active today, apparently.

Hope Tuck is ready, and I'm betting he doesn't get a ton of snaps. Kiwanuka has been getting some action on the DL at LDE so he might get that spot when Tuck goes out. JPP should be in at all times.

completion percentage isn't useful either. david carr threw 68% his last year in houston checking down all game. alex smith is 5-1. we know rodgers is great b/c we watch the games

football stats are mostly irrelevant w/ context. team stats can be useful; individual stats less so

Rodgers first season could have been considered a failure at 6-10. Especially considering the fact that they where 13-3 the season prior with Favre.

Only if you think wins and losses are solely the responsibility of the quarterback and have no idea whatsoever about football.

lol, beast is trying to argue Tebow is better than Rodgers? Wow.

I didn't realize this was Arron first year. But I agree with you , Aaron was probably 71% CP during 2nd team scout drills in his first couple of years.

Thanks for proving my point. Not everything rests on Tebow's shoulders, and much like the 2008 Packers the failures have been more of a result of a broken/injured defense.

No one is blaming Tebow for the failure of the Broncos. They are saying Tebow as an individual is a terrible quarterback.

I love Rodgers, he is the best QB right now. hands down.

but we are not talking about the Rodgers of 2011. Also, I don't particularly like tebow. Just that we don't have enough evidence yet .

If the Broncos lost last week, the majority of the blame would have fell on Tebow, despite other team failures.

Likewise, since they won the credit falls unfairly to Tebow, despite other players making clutch plays.

QB's, win or lose, take the majority of the heat/glory, even if we know better.

As far as Tebow, I don't think the sample size is large enough to really make that determination. I think that you have to judge him on the body of what he does this season rather than a great/bad game. If he's terrible for the rest of the season/time he plays, I'll be the first to admit it.

Just when I thought you weren't a joke account...

Favre had some amazing peak years in his career.

But he had a lot of god awful years. And he of course threw a ton of interceptions.

He is not a historically top-10 elite quarterback or anything like that, not even close.

Couldn't think of a better poster boy for this game. One of the worst "great" players in football history. A truly great representation of overrated-ness.

Dude lead the Lions to win two NFL championships, appear in another, and get started in a season where they won a third. The man was a leader of men. And its time for his ghost to lead the Lions against the false prophet.

Lane was far more Tim Tebow than Stafford. Have you never seen tape or read about him? He could barely throw a spiral.

I'm sure you guys have heard of the curse of Bobby Layne, right?

Edit: The more I look at this picture it makes me wonder if Elway is Andrew Luck's dad.
