Good god, went to Target got Arkham City and Dark Souls for $63 TOTAL. Apparently a glitch in the system that allows you to get 2 for 1.

Damn, SJax looks like he is beasting. It's about time, should have started Lloyd though.
Yeah, you can B2G1 free. It's a deal for a week. What else did you get?

Llyod has a TD too.

This is familiar too. Saints were nearly shut out for three quarters in 07, only to storm back with 22 points in the fourth and lost the game because they dug too deep a hole. Looks that way here. Although the fourth quarter might be interesting.

No it was a glitch in there system. I bought 1 game at regular price and got the second game for free. So in essence it was B1G1 free. Total price for 2 games was $63, so basically each game was $31, as opposed to paying $126 and getting the third game for free.

A couple people on here -- might have started with eznark? -- commeneted about how stupid it is to give an RB a long-term, big-money contract. And they're right. Most RBs are good for 4 or 5 productive years and then they're used up. You will see the rare exception, the Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton, etc, but you gotta hope you're not screwing your salary cap on a guy who is gonna start sucking as soon as he's paid.

AP just got paid too didn't he? At least hes still playing hard.

Gore got an extension too, although we didn't break the bank or anything, and hes having a breakout season. Probably has something to do with Greg Roman not calling the same run up the gut every run play too.

I was completely in that boat too.

What the Bears are doing with Matt Forte is the right thing to do. Do not give him ridiculous contract extensions, when he hits free agency, franchise tag him. The tag on RB's next year will be ~7.5 million. That is a lot of a better than paying a guy Chris Johnson or Adrian Peterson money.

I actually love the way Alex is playing this year but Jim Harbaugh knows he's not an all pro qb and the system reflects this.

I thought this was the case too but then I watched the Stanford USC game last night and their offense is almost a mirror image of what the niners are running right now (lots of 3 TE+1 WR sets). I think it's more that Harbaugh is still trying to install his system rather than anything else.

This is the same exact system he ran at Stanford, there's barely any differences. He's developing a new style of running offense in a league full of passing teams. He punishes defenses across the D-line by having an extra lineman or even two, and three tight ends on many of our sets. This is not because he feels that our QB cannot play in a regular open passing system, it is because this is the system that Jim has developed; it worked in college and it has been working in the NFL so far.
I don't watch college so I can't comment on that'll. I can say though I agree the two tight end sets are great. Also bringing in Boone and Sopoaga in to block as well. There isn't any doubt the system is predicated on power offense. Why shouldn't it be? Gore is the work horse. Hunter is a refreshing change of pace back.

Whether its intentionally or not the 49ers aren't requireing Alex to do more then his skill set allows for and that is the way it should be.

Don't get me wrong Alex looks way more confident and he has handled pressure well. He isn't an Elite QB but he's good enough to get the job done.
