What makes you say that? I was driving during the first half and most of the third quarter so I didn't see the entire game but Peyton looked great from what little I saw. At worst his arm looked 80-90% to me.
eznark dont ignore me please
you'll be 1-0, but unable to continue
RIP me

Griffin looked great, but let's temper our expectations here, it was the Saints defense.
Similarly, Luck looked like trash, but he was against the Bears D.
Yup.

He really struggled with out routes. I think he also passed up on a few throws because he still isn't sure what he is capable of. Lucky for him he has some big bodies who run good routes.
Gotcha, I didn't really notice that. His accuracy and timing looked pretty solid, though.Basically what Ez said. Manning has to push the ball to get movement on it for longer throws, something he never had to do before. It was most apparent on his out routes and even those hung more than they used to.
Arm strength is overrated anyway, shy of the odd throw down the seam Manning's game doesn't really rely on the deep pass.
We'll do another bet if the 49ers/Packers meet up in the playoffs. This avatar fit you so well, you should keep it.
Fellas, please explain something to me as someone who hasn't watched many Saints games. In the days leading up to this game, I heard about how the Saints were gonna destroy RGIII. That, the dome was going to be his undoing. All the analysts had him throwing 2+ interceptions. Most predictions had them scoring 17 points.
Now that RGIII performed in the manner in which he done, it's turned to, the Saints defense is garbage? Which one is it? Is the Saints defense bad, is it good, mediocre?
I totally agree that expectations need to be tempered, nor do I believe that RGIII is the next coming of Christ either. I believe that more credit needs to go to the Skins defense that held Bree's to a bad completion percentage, that the defense didn't allow a lot of 3rd down completions. I think that the OC called a great game for RGIII.

He's Peyton Manning. Until he literally can't throw the ball anymore those things will always be good.
If his arm strength was something like 60% it would probably severely hurt his accuracy and timing. The whole point I was originally responding to was you saying his arm was "gone," haha. He's Peyton Manning. Until he literally can't throw the ball anymore those things will always be good.

Brady's arm is gone, Manning's is just shot.
One of my friends started the Bills D in two fantasy leagues.Bills suck
Fair enough, I guess I just got too hung up on the word "gone."I didn't see Peyton throw any good looking long balls last night.
His longest reception was on a dump off that went the distance.
He was not beating us with his arm last night, he was beating us with his brain. But like I said not every defense is going to be that bad. If they get some breaks I could still see them winning it all, but that is true of A LOT of teams in the NFL.
So who didn't start Peterson in their fantasy league yesterday? Just so I don't feel like the only idiot.
Pretty sure it stems from the Superdome being a loud hostile environment for any opposing QB coupled with a Saints D that's lived or died by the turnover the past few years. It's arguable they have even less incentive to perform this year too.
The Saints D is bad and it has always been bad. The reason the Saints are so dangerous in the dome is because of the offense. They grind up the score which allows the D to take chances at turnovers, and what's his face at DC, bounty hunter Jones, didn't care about stops as much as he did turning the ball over.
Our improved tackling that we were working really hard on is what showed up for me. Damn it was good.....
If you won't to win the SB you want to suck until Thanksgiving and barely get by each week. Then become a different team in the postseason and win 3 games on the road. Our improved tackling that we were working really hard on is what showed up for me. Damn it was good.....

I mean, I can't say I blame anyone for that decision. In your defense, Mark Sanchez.I did. -2 :/
Still think I'm gonna win this week, barring the greatest game from a kicker in "all of creation."

Had multiple plays where guys were just diving at the ball carrier with their shoulder. Could have been stops behind the line or close to it if anyone wrapped up and let another finish it.The Morgan Burnett Experience is pretty awesome too. Where will he be on this play? Who knows!? No one! Does he? Doubt it!!
It does seem true. And it makes the losing pill easier to swallow. If you won't to win the SB you want to suck until Thanksgiving and barely get by each week. Then become a different team in the postseason and win 3 games on the road.
At least that is what I keep telling myself...
Packer fans are a lot better when the Packers lose. When they are playing well then they are unbearable. It appears, like Peyton Manning, the reports of eznark's demise were greatly exaggerated.
I am starting to think we struck out on the extensions to Troy and the money we paid to Timmons. Both guys were invisible last night. Both are supposed to be superstars and neither played like it. Timmons has kind of sucked for awhile, but the decline of Troy is starting to scare me.
Things that are making me laugh this morning:
1. Why didn't Benson run for 1000 yards!?!!!
2. Sure we got pressure but we had to blitz to get it!
3. People calling the Woodson hold a "phantom" call
I didn't play Adrian Peterson and instead went with Ronnie Brown, so it may end up not being as bad of a decision but it's painful seeing 20 pts on the bench. Thankfully I was able to win the week anyways.
You would have been wrong 2 years ago.I could've told you that 2 years ago.
All things considered, the Pats were pretty awesome yesterday.
- Rookies! Jones, Hightower and Wilson were pretty awesome.
- Run defense! Chris Johnson had 4 yards on eleven carries :jnc. Jerod Mayo had 13 tackles.
- Wilfork is a bad motherfucker. Can't not love him with all my heart.
- Run game! Ridley is a gem. Finally someone who can make bigger plays too.
- Pass protection was a lot better. Of course there were a lot of quick passes, but it was still nice to see them not get beat all the time.
- The number of possible targets for Brady is crazy. When Wes Welker is only your No. 4 receiver, that's pretty amazing.
- Brady once again showed Big Ben how to play through an injury to an immensely important body part without whining. That's what a real man looks like!
- Lloyd should've made that catch on the long pass, if only to shut eznark up about Brady's arm.

Everything hurts, but my face is less swollen so that is good. I think it might have been an assassin, hired by somebody who received a Shirtless fine and didn't agree. I will hire a professional Internet detective and I will find out the truth!
