NFL 2014 CC |OT| Holy Grail

I'm watching the NFC highlights.....

:O

HOW? lol

You and me are right >here<. The Packers had the game won but fucked it off somehow. Russ played like shit but balled when it counted. I was surrounded by Seahawks fans that were quiet as shit throughout the first half. This is the reason why they are the defending champion.

Is this the first time in recent history (no shit, we know the Pats did this but recent history) where a Super Bowl winner returned to the Super Bowl the following year?

Let's talk storylines heading into the game:

Kam versus Gronk is going to be EPIC. They're both healthy and physical.
Brady versus Sherm is going to interesting because of previous encounters.
Revis Island versus Sherm is going to be cerebral. Matter of fact, these two corners can find out who is really the best on this biggest stage.
I want asshole Brady to show up to this game. Bring back the dude that wore uggs. Am the only one hoping he points at Sherm and talks shit?
Cheating Pete versus Belicheat is another matchup. Of course, I'm riding with the homewrecker in this game. They're the Patriots for a reason.

By the way, what part of the Patriot way is this?

Ehhhhhh idk who to root for.
Usually I would say meteor, but with my recent sports luck I'm pretty sure that would result in the NFL awarding a mutual Super Bowl victory to both franchises, then doing a loaded deck 1995 style expansion draft to replenish both rosters with pro-bowlers from other teams. Afterwards we'd get 5 consecutive Pats/Seahawks super bowls where they would talk about the martyrs of Saint Tom and Saint Russell every commercial break.

No thanks

okay this is disrespectful
Sorry, I don't mean to. I remember him saying taking all playoff OT but I don't know about SB OT.
Do we know the injury status of richard sherman? If he is out it will be an advantage for the pats.
Elbow Injury. Richard Sherman Himself said he will play Superbowl game after NFCCG.

Earl Thomas Shoulder Injury. They both will have MRIs Monday.

There you go?

Hey how good is the Patriots O-Line? I need to know so I can either prematurely panic or walk around with my dick out.

Lousy, but they've played well down the stretch. After week 5, they reshifted and changed personel. They have a rookie at center, Brian stork, who has played great and shored up the line. But he was out for this game today, but the Brady was barely touched all day and they played great, against a defense that had some of the most sacks in the league IIRC.

But, still, not a good line. THey got wrecked by Baltimore in the first half, and you may remember Week 4 whn Brady started very poorly, a lot of that was the bad play of the line.

corny to the max if they call this super bowl "you mad bro 2"
and no im not mad, think of a better name.

Who is Seattle talking about when they call "doubters" out? Most of the media had them pegged to repeat from week one.

I did when they were struggling but changed when the god Palmer got injured and the seahawks got home field because of that ;)

Can't ask for anything more from the pats. Solid on both sides of the ball this season and now they have a shot at winning the super bowl. Belichick is going to have to come up with a hell of a game plan though. One big worry is that the pats start slow after a week off. Can't wait.

They are a streaky line. If they are able to set up the run, the pass blocking gets better. If it's all pass, all day, then protection breaks down a lot more easily. The tackles are better than average, especially the right tackle. The weak point is the right guard position.

Pressure up the middle effects Brady a lot more than pressure from the ends, so if Seattle wants to rattle Brady they should go after the center and right guard. Delayed blitzes from the outside aren't always picked up.

Seattle needs to stop the run first. Stop blount and gray and the game becomes a lot easier.

Hey get out of my brain!

After losing to KC there was a lot talk about them falling apart, particularly since the Lynch stuff was going on at the same time.

History shows that teams prefer to have the underdog role. Any good coach is going to want to keep them in that mindset.

Welp here's the thing.. our best DT is out for the year. The rookie DT that stepped up late in the season... is out for the year. Okay that makes me feels a lot worst. We literally just picked up a random DT from the 49ers (Dobbs who is in his 4th year and has made the NFC Championship game 4 years in a row. 3 with 9ers, and now 1 with us).

What a lucky fuck.

Ravens had a good plan just a terrible secondary to perform their respective jobs.

Seattle will be able to blitz regularly with that secondary, but that's not always a good idea if pressure doesn't get there. Tom can pick apart a team if given time. Consistent pressure from the front 4 has always been the Achilles heel of the patriots offense.

Blitzing the Pats is the easiest way to lose the game.

We don't blitz, and if we do we sending 5 guys at most. Very rare will you see 6 man coming at the QB. That's just our style. We are like the opposite of the Cardinals.

PRetty awesome:
