I agree that he has no business being a DC, but I always thought he is just a puppet for Belichick (back when there was no defensive coordinator, I remember the media throwing a huge stink about it, which is why I felt they just plopped Patricia there to shut everyone up).

He is just a Belichick yes man, but unfortunately he calls the plays. He's just so damn bad. No one ever really brings it up because Belichick is the defensive genius. Patricia is the one that makes bad call after bad call. Belichick needs Crennel or Rex Ryan as a DC. Someone who can actually coach, and tell Belichick to fuck off.

When Brady has a good line in front him, he is unstoppable. The line they put in front of him today was awful in every way. Pass protection, run blocking, everything. That goes to the coaching staff and to Belichick's personnel moves.

This isn't true anymore. He used to be like that, but even with a great oline all it takes is one or two sacks and he starts to see ghosts.

I don't think people overrate Indy at all as they're perceived to be a 3-13 team without Luck given how bad everyone else is. I'd say if anything the rest of the terrible division may be underrated.
