NFL 2015 Week 5 |OT| - A Fraud’s Hankering for Some Bites

You know what is not beautiful? The Netherlands. I'm forfeiting my Dutch nationality.

What do you think about Donald Trump?

Oh jesus christ.. you people actually think he endorsed Donald Trump in that lockeroom interview?

"I hope so. That would be great," Brady said when asked if Trump has what it takes to win. "There would be a putting green on the White House lawn. I'm sure of that."

This is an endorsement? Clearly Brady is not interested in politics and is saying his typical folksy joking... A putting green on the White house lawn? Especially when asked explicitly "so will you vote for Donald Trump?" Brady smiled and said, "I don't know."

Don't you think that if someone endorses Donald Trump, that they're going to vote for him? Further, Brady has said he had Trumps hat because they were golfing buddies back since Brady was on one of Trump's TV shows in 2002. You know who else claims to be friends with Trump? Former President Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary Clinton who happens to be running against trump in 2016 (Assume he stays in the race). Is Hillary a Trump supporter?

Fact is, Brady has always been cagey on any personal beliefs about anything. Where as most players in sports have very overstated religious and personal beliefs (running prayer groups, tattoos, citing God in every speech, etc), Brady chooses not to share any of it. In a 2005 New York Times bio, Brady was asked about his religion by the NYT interviewer who saw menorahs, bibles, and Eastern religious items around his house and he replied...

Tom Brady said:
“We're not Jewish, but I think we’re into everything. . . . I don’t know what I believe. I think there’s a belief system, I’m just not sure what it is.”

Brady has an almost non-existent voting record. The Smoking Gun went to pull it up in 2005 and found that Brady never voted, not in California, not in Michigan, not in Massachusetts. Never endorsed a political candidate, never made a political donation. When asked flat out about his political associations in a 60 Minute interview, Brady said he's neither Republican nor Democrat, he's an independent.

So let's see...

Brady is seemingly not religious, does not vote, does not donate to politics, does not endorse anybody, believes that soda is bad for you, and believes in preventative medicine instead of reactive medicine.

Tom Brady sounds like your typical run of the mill gaffer, to me. That probably does make him an asshole.

Tbh, for the first time in a while I don't think one of my meals went down too well. I'm at work kind of regretting, but for those who asked :):

White left over rice, cold cut ham ripped into pieces by hand, Walmart brand Bob Kraft shredded cheese, and and peppertinis to top at all off. I was too lazy to add a sauce.

It didn't taste bad at all!

So in other words...."I threw whatever was in my refrigerator on a plate and called it a meal"....

Pats fans are fucking masters of the spin.

"I hope so. That would be great,"

he was clearly just joking you guys!!!1!!!1!! And no he doesn't HAVE to vote for him to support his ideas. Imagine if Trump had said something similar about blacks and then brady said that.

Does anyone even care anymore? He's never playing in the NFL and already convicted for life this second trial really is just a formality, what are they going to do tack on another 100 years to his sentence?

I wonder how many NFL players have gotten away with murder

You've never even been anywhere else, motherfucker!

Bullshit. My job requires I travel all over the country and surrounding nations. Oberammergau may be the most beautiful place in the country. It's basically heaven.

Pep, stat based ranking systems love the Eagles. Vegas does too. Mostly based on the defense

It's not the Eagles fault, they have just been really unlucky for the last 50 years.

That guy being a bitter Eagles fan doesn't make Eli's pass legal. And as much as I love Eli for his fight against evil, it's hard not to acknowledge he has been very lucky while also being good at football

I guess I'm somewhat numb to it because I grew up with all that. I still think Hamburg is the best city BY FAR of all the German ones I've been to.

Why doesn't dega want to make America great again

He wants to keep America terrible, is what he's saying.

A part of me is hoping the Cowboys roll with Kellen Moore. Linehan loves him, and he would probably get the Cowboys in the right plays. He can throw with anticipation and accuracy to compensate for his lack of arm strength.

He certainly wouldn't need Romo yelling Cover 2 from the sidelines.

I think Cassell would be as limited as Weeden considering he has only a couple weeks to digest the offense.

I expect them to come out a little fired up, but I doubt they'll change much in terms of scheme, you just can't change much in two weeks. From what I've read, he's a smart dude, lots of praise from former coaches but he was playing like 6 years ago and now he's a head coach, I imagine he's going to rely on his staff. Also we have to remember he's an interim coach so I'm not really expecting him to be the answer, despite what some dolphin fans might think. I think we might win this one but it'll be close.
So what I'm hearing is 41-7 Dolphins. To paraphrase:

"SB run is back on!" - chris

Much like the NFL visits London, we should invite an Amörikan NFL Gaffer over once or twice a year (he brings his own TP, of course).

Suggestions, please.

The Jags signed a regular deal, so do we have Gata over regularly?

The problem is the Steelers game last night just reinforces the way coaches think. Keep it close and try and get lucky. Don't lose the game in the first quarter slanging it all over

I don't get it. Some of you don't like "patriots" and don't like "making america great again"? You might as well be konkas in europe.

wut?

So let's just look at the actual question:

"You think he's [Trump] got what it takes?"

"I hope so, that'd be great, there'd be a putting green on the white house lawn I'm sure of that."

"Are you going to vote for Trump?"

"Eh, I don't know"

When asked specifically about it 2 weeks later...

Tom Brady said:
"It’s just a different world than when I started in professional football," Brady said. "Even an off-handed comment like that, like you said, that people may run with. And I understand why people do run with it because you get the clicks and that type of stuff. It’s just people doing their job. A comment like that, I try to have fun with certain things."

...

"One way or another, it’s so far away from when the election will be." “Whatever I vote is going to be my own personal choice based on how I feel. I don’t even know what the issues are. I haven’t paid attention to politics in a long time. It’s actually not something that I really even enjoy. It’s way off my radar."

WOWWWW!!! BRADY ENDORSES TRUMP!!!!! BRADY IS RACIST CONFIRMED. See, that's the spin. The actual truth:

"I don't pay attention to politics, I don't know who I'll vote for." Although he did say that Trump is his friend and that they used to golf a lot together before he, Brady, had kids.

Look who else Trump has golfed with... Joe Torre, Bill Clinton, Billy Crystal, Rudy Guiliani, and Michael Bloomberg. TRUMP ENDORSEMENT CONFIRMED

Second best defense in the league seems a bit of a stretch, but they are definitely a top-10 D.

We knew all along that their front 7 was one of the best in the league, they just needed to shore up their secondary and it seems they've done that. Thurmond has been a revelation at safety and Maxwell, after a nightmare start, has been solid overall. I think bringing in Undlin to coach 'em up back there has also been a good move.

So yeah, the Eagles D is finally good again. If their offense can just be league average, instead of godawful, they have a chance to make it to the playoffs.

ah it's all good because a few weeks later he was more reserved. *thumbs up*

Whatever, I'll just leave it at that and hope people here are smarter than that.

James Harden is dating Khloe Kardashian? Why? No

I was wondering why she was at their practices. Never heard of her as a fan before.
