These referees aren't qualified to work in the NFL. They don't understand the rules. There was nothing wrong with what Gilyard did.

I'm really liking what I'm seeing from Reiff and Leshoure tonight. IMO Reiff has looked good all preseason, whereas Leshoure was shaky last week.
Yea, Reiff is looking worthy of the blind praise I was giving him when he was drafted. Leshoure played his first full speed football in 2 years last week, and the Raiders front 7 is super good. I have a lot of hope for Leshoure if he keeps grinding it out. Could be a huge boost in week 3!

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
Reilly Reiff sealed the edge off like a champ on that Leshoure run. This draft could be huge for Detroit

Edit: You know, that may have actually been Jason Fox

Either one would be fantastic. Preferably both.

Joe Six-Pack: posting for the common man
yea, i can't tell a difference between the real refs and replacement refs. No difference at all.

When Bradford gets time he looks awfully good against the Ravens second team. I'm joking of course but his accuracy and velocity are so much better when he's not afraid of getting hit. There is a good QB there if they can just stop the insane jailbreak sacks

I think youre right. you can only blame Bradford so much when he has 5 guys in his face 2 seconds after snapping the ball.

HE's trash but Im saying he looks even worse because of the jailbreaks.
He needs to not stand here like a fucking statue though. He can still step into a clear space and use his athleticism to buy some time.

How the fuck did Kenny Britt only get a 1-game suspension?

I think he can be rebuilt but it will take a guy like Harbaugh to do it. If he's maxed out he's better than lots of guys

But you are right. At this moment, he is one of the worst starters in football. Until he gets less skittish that will not change

He would be alright behind our Oline. But he would still get sacked because he's slow.

he's headed down the path of alex smith. the similarities are startling:

1. identical shoulder injury
2. #1 pick
3. goes to a team with no playmakers around and a shit offensive line
4. goes 7-9 first full season as starter
5. suffers an injury that keeps him out of a good portion of the season the year after
6. mauled so much early in his career that he won't stand in the pocket and continue to look down field now

alex smith is also garbage without harbaugh. if not for harbs not only would alex not be a 49er, he would not be a starter in this league. i think he would still be in the league as a 2nd or 3rd stringer somewhere but not a starter.

if bradford can get some decent coaching and playmakers around him (of which he has neither) then he can succeed to the degree that alex did last year (if you consider that success)
