Surprised they're doing it. Doesn't matter at this point, I'm assuming they're doing him a favour, letting him get a chance at some NHL games, probably the last time he plays.
Just got off work and heard the news. I'm quite happy. Hope they can make a good run.
See that's the thing I hear people say about TPAB, they wanted an album with some club bangers. I can understand your feelings towards it as that's what I thought TPAB would be before it came out then I sat down and listened to it and it blew me away, I'm glad he made the album he did.
Personally I think lyrically it does so much better than GKMC in regards to the message it was trying to convey with less "filler".

This. TPAB will be the defining album in Kendrick's career 10-20 years from now. It will only be more appreciated as time goes on, GKMC is a classic, but TPAB goes so far beyond typical boundaries in rap and hip hop and it does it perfectly.

I haven't listened to TPAB in full, but I'm glad he went in the direction he did with it.
Anything else would've felt like trying to copy GKMC.
It's like Kanye switching it up with 808s & Heartbreak. It got a lot of hate early on, but I think people look back on it more fondly. It's really a good album in the end, and I really enjoyed it.
