So I have to confess that I haven't watched the thread prior to this year so didn't know if I was supposed to uphold some general negative reputation or what. We are a pretty good bunch, even when ladies, gentlemen, and Hawks fans invade on Saturday's.
I also have to confess that my time has been short, so I haven't yet been able to really pay attention around the league so far. Need to fire up NHL.tv or whatever it's called these days. One thing that jumped out tonight is that they have apparently gone one farther and eliminated the dry scrape before the shootout. Players after the Blues Wings game expressed that it was pretty rough on shooters in the many-round skills competition tonight. That really sucks, because you don't want to chase an awesome OT with a bunch of poor shots.

He's probably going to take the year off. When he saw multiple specialists and got put on LTIR afterwards, seems like he's going to take a long time off if not retire.
edit: Just read that Despres still had symptoms but told the doctors that he felt fine so he can play in the playoffs.
Bob Murray just quoted as saying it's a sensitive subject and he hopes Despres can live a happy healthy life.
