CBC panel saying he needs to do more... He keeps on hitting and he's always active out there. What more do they want him to do? Drive the bus or sell some beer up in the nose bleeds?
There's very few players who leave more out there than he does. If he was Canadian the narrative would be it's a national tragedy. Because he's Russian he is not a leader, or not trying hard enough, or can't elevate his game or whatever. Players like Iginla and Thornton had pundits try to get those types of things to stick but they never did, with Ovechkin it's like glue.
