The bottom right of that picture is an "Iron Man" (could be a "Tin Man", hard to tell from the pic), is there anything in the text about that?

So this guy has nothing but praise for this game still the score is 9.4. Why the fuck?
Fucking IGN.
The thing about IGN is, that if this game had been a Bioware game it would have received a 10.

I assumed it was the griffurnace or something. The text says that Griffy can evolve into more deadly forms, griffurnace and griffrigerator.
IGN hasn't given any Bioware game this gen a 10. In fact Bioware's best games scored... right around a 9.4.
Jade Empire isn't this gen.
He's actually one of the main reasons I am hyped for this. Love him, he should totally do more video games.I'm really excited for this game! I'm a huge fan of Studio Ghibli and Joe Hisaishi...
dat score...so does the story get mature later on or should I just take the plunge anyway?
I wish I was as lucky as you... I have been drooling over this since it's revealWow, where in the hell did this come from? Just found out about Ni No Kuni last night, preordering today.

The rpgland review was written on 10/28. Isn't that when the demo was released? Did they write that review based on only the demo of the game? Seems a little disingenuous if so

It seems like people are really impressed with the game.

This. Tell your friends!all that's left is word of mouth. let's make this the Demon's Souls.
Really surprised at those reviews scores. I thought this game had so-so WOM when it came out a year ago in Japan. I don't remember it making much of a splash with J-GAF.
I was planning on skipping it until it hit bargain prices, but reviews have convinced me to give the demo a spin and go from there.

We’ve come a long way since the glory days of the Japanese role-playing game in the 1990s. Indeed, many would argue that perhaps we’ve come too far. Today, the genre is split between the heavily watered-down and the absurdly niche. This leaves many of us floating somewhere in the middle, in the well-worn ether that, for some reason, too few developers and publishers have dare tread in the 21st century. But with Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, Level-5 has delivered something special: a JRPG that feels like the games of yore, looks like the games of tomorrow, and draws heavy inspiration from the classics old-school JRPGs fans adore.
Anyone else in the U.S. miss out on the Wizard version picking up the EU Wizard version? Sucks that the EU Wizard is missing items... not sure if I want to keep that EU preorder :\
Can't wait for this.
To import and save the 10 day wait, or add +1 to UK sales numbers. hmmmm.
The Japanese spellbooks are gorgeous. Hope the English ones are just as nice.
For what it's worth, namco are really trying to push this in the UK, possibly more than I've ever seen with a jrpg here actually.
Not many people here played it. But I've continually said that it's one of Level-5's most highly rated games in Japan. The most major complaints about it are fairly minor (poor voice quality, crappy AI, difficulty spikes).
Well at least I can wait to hear what you guys all think about the english spellbook and if it doesn't sound up to the standard I'll just cancel my order. That's one advantage to waiting a extra week I guess.
Thanks the book does look amazing, wish we could get some pics of the Prima US guide. Though it won't be the same.
Over the course of the next few days well be releasing a few free samples from our full print guide thatll help get you started.
I just read that IGN review on my cell. Great review, I just can't wait for the game, it looks awesome and is building more hype for me. How the hell and I going to put away Tales of Graces though?? arrgghh tough problem...
The part that makes me most happy:
While Ni No Kuni might still be a week away for gamers in the United States, the game has already appeared ready to download on the Japanese Playstation Store. And you are not going to enjoy the downright magical size of the download.
How big is it? Nineteen gigabytes. It hurts just to type that. Sure it isn't the largest game installation ever, but you have to keep in mind that the Playstation 3 requires at least double the size of the game's download size to be free and accessible in order to install the game, so you actually need to have 38gigs free on your hard drive to download it.
So if you're looking to go on a magical adventure on your PS3 next week, then you better start making space for it.
