Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch |OT|

Thanks man.

We play it together so as far as controls and mechanics go...I'll handle those but if it's not too much, it would be great if she could control everything.

Looking forward to this.

I just read that in Japan it's all ages but the western release is 12 and over, and in South Korea it's 18+ due to there being a casino type of place in the game, and Korea is sensitive about Gambling laws.

IMO it looked fine for a 7 year old, but every 7 year old is different and as you can see above everyone has a different opinion, so only you know best.

Thanks. We'll play it by ear.

I'll check out the demo tonight when I get home

I don't think it will be a hard plat at all. I know I plan to get it.

Can the OT maybe have the preorder bonus info in it for people who are on the fence on where to preorder? I honestly think the steelbook from GameStop is the best way to go. This is for the US.

GameStop - Steelbook
Amazon - DLC Griffy Familiar
Best Buy - DLC Flutterby Familiar

Ni no Kuni Strategy guide - DLC Gold Hurley Familiar
And you don't have to preorder the book to get the DLC.

Well. I only have 2 platinums. Walking Dead(basically free) and FF XIII-2. So, I'm really not good at getting trophies. Have you seen the list?

I played the demo and thought it was for little kids and young teens...I really don't fit the demographic of this game :/

Too bad cause the graphics are really awesome! But the youngster theme is a deal breaker

No OT subtitle? Could've made it as mentioning that Studio Ghibli art.
Anyways I'll be getting this along with Hokuto Musou 2 by early February.

From some reviews I've read, they basically say there's something for all ages in the game, so maybe the full game will grow on you and have parts that will interest you later on in the game. (at least that's what I'm hoping for myself haha)

IIRC I did two-day shipping (when I ordered it wasn't much more than regular), so hopefully Digital River doesn't screw up and send it out later and I miss getting it next week.

So looking forward to having that book in my hands. :D

Assuming the Wizard's book is just translated for Europe, people are in for a treat - the Japanese one is gorgeous.

It seems that I picked one day shipping for my order for the NA Wizard's edition..

Though when I look at my order status page there is a line in red text that says -

This order will be shipped after the release date of 1/22/2013 for Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch – Wizard’s Edition Club Namco Exclusive.

Not giving me much hope..

Anyone have any impressions? The game looks very interesting, how is character development/customization handled?

The English-language version is embargoed until Thursday, but there's videos out there already.

Print mags have been pretty reasonable, Edge 8/10 and I remember seeing another around that score.

Great OP Ultros! And thanks for this sweet avatar. Now to wait 2 more weeks until I get my hands on that Wizard Edition.

PSN version it is.

EU Digital version was delayed as well according to Namco Bandai twitter. Also psn version should be up for preorder on the (UK) store ( 49.99 quids it seems according to a image on twitter, retweeted by aforementioned NB twitter. Also includes 2 familiars, Griffy and Flutterby)

are there any videos of actual gameplay? does this have rpg like combat? is this action adventure?? there's no info in the OT

I haven't been so hyped for a game in a long while.

Preordered it blind, then played the demo - every other game in 2013 could not exist and I'd be a happy clam.

Can't believe us EU guys have to wait a whole 10 days longer ... ahhhhh the agony !

EU version delayed? Glad they're bringing it to Europe but those freaking incompetent idiots had more than enough time to get the games to stores >.<. Not liking the delay at all, 'cause I want to play this game so much.

You guys know there's bonus DLC that we're getting because of the delay, right?

Avatar taken didn't see anyone using this one?

I'm getting the EU version so I'll be waiting to play, fingers crossed the Namco store posts a few extra's before they ship it though I'll cancel and get in the US. I'm also curious how the Prima guide is anyone getting it that can report on it?
