As some of you know I got a nice rig back in October, but I've been stuck on a very slow connection. Well, I'm home for Christmas now with 550kb/s download speeds so I'm looking for PC demos to play.

What I have
-HL2 (full game)
-Lost Coast (full game)
-HL: Source (full game)
-Quake 4
-Golf?
-Doom III
-Fear SP and MP
-SC: Chaos Theory
-Psychonauts

Playing demos has already sold me on Psychonauts and FEAR so I want to find more PC gaming goodness...
So what else should I download and try out? Anything with great visuals?

Yea. Also Age of Empires 3. You've been playing alot of FPSes. You need some RTS Rise of Nations is old but its still good.

I downloaded AOEIII and was really unimpressed with the way it played. I much prefer my Blizzard RTSs.

Is Rise of Nations any better than AOE?

Oooh if you don't like the way AOE is then RON might not be something you'll like. However I say give it a try. Graphically its even simpler. But it is fun in multiplayer .

Another Turnbased / RTS game that you must try is Rome: Total War. Graphically impressive and fun! But its quite different from your usual RTS because you can control units individually. It takes a more realistic approach where you control groups of soldiers.

COD2 is pretty good, but the single player is ass. There is no multiplayer demo either.

Rome:Total War is addicting, but like most games of the type it requires ALOT of time for really no reason.

Find a good multiplayer game with an active community and stick to it. Thats the best part of PC gaming IMO.
