Ninja Five-O - rare or not?

I saw three more copies at the Fred Meyer across from Lowes in town. Obviously the 50% off coupon isn't working any more or I would have picked them up. Anyone else in the Portland/Vancouver area might want to run over there though. (hint hint)

While the sale was still on I grabbed Astro Boy, Contra, and Space Channel 5. So far I've only opened Astro Boy and it's pretty fun. Hard if you don't power-up the right thing at the right time, but fun.

Alright, I don't know anything about this game but I'm thinking of buying it on a whim.

I've done that several times before and have usually been pleasantly surprised, but I also purchased Astro Boy for the GBA and found myself not getting into it at all. Is it likely Ninja Five-O would suffer the same fate for me, or are they completely unalike?

Astro Boy and Ninja Five-O are nothing alike. Astro Boy is a tepid beat'em up with clumsy controls. Ninja Five-O is a pure skill-based ninja grappling platformer with tight level design.

Hey, whats better, Ninja Five-O or Metal Arms?
NINJA FIVE-O

I love this game. It's definitely one of the GBA's greatest sleeper hits and one of my favorite games on the system.

Ninja Five-O is pretty darn swell, (Gamestop, used, 15 bucks) but Astro Boy is much better then you give it credit for. Its got great level design, a great variety of usuful moves, and at least I thought, pretty good controls. Loads of replay value too. Great game.

Ninja Five-O is great too, I appreciate the "brutal but fair" design to it. Good stuff. And yes, its better then Metal Arms.

And Fred Meyer was good to me this week also. (Stares lovingly at new, discounted copy of R.A.D.) I could have bought Gradius V brand new for 12 bucks, thats a crime that such a great game should sell for so little.

what's with the R.A.D. love? I put the demo in at work when it came out and was completely unimpressed by the soap-opera-like voice-acting and clumsy controls (though it did wonders in keeping the kids away from the systems). Did they fix these things for release?

Hmm I may have to check the ones around me here on the West Side of town.
