Ninja Gaiden Black = $24.99

awesome. i thought they'd try to release it at close to full price, given all the extra content. i was going to buy it anyway. but now i'll buy it FOR GREAT JUSTICE. i hope konami follows suit in pricing mgs3 subsistence. somehow i doubt they will.

Goddamnit, I got the original again a while back to give it another shot, and still haven't played it again. :p

I've got MGS3 and still haven't played through it, either, but I'm pretty sure I'll be willing to play through it again by the time Subsistence rolls around. Hopefully it'll be $20-30, too, but I doubt it. Oh well, the more money Kojima's studio gets the better.

is the new extra content available via Live, or is it exclusive to Black?

Exclusive to Black. I think it's an extra-insane difficulty and some Master Ninja Tournament stuff. I'm not 100% up to speed, but I'm pretty sure that's it.

Heh, and here I thought there were only 2 Hurricane Packs. Can someone please summarize what the 3 contain?

This time around, will be HP content be incorporated into the full single player game, or is it separate, once again? I believe I had read that at least the first pack's content was separate, right?

The biggest non downloadable addition to black for most people is the new easy mode titled Ninja Dog mode. In it you'll be unable to obtain anything other then a ninja dog rating for every stage and assumably it'll be very easy. It's also got some new in game cinematics along with I believe reworked enemies throughout the game perhaps ? I'm not positive if they've just mixed the hurricane pack content in with the actual game or if its just ninja gaiden Plus easy and maste rninja mode with hurricane packs still seperate.

The majority is downloadable from Live.

Not true at all. Here's a rundown of what's in Black:

- New remixed single player mode with different enemies/more enemies/harder (some from Hurricane Pack 1 on LIVE, most are new and now available completely offline)
- New non-essential plot cinema scenes including cool Ayane ones (not available from LIVE)
- The controllable camera in single player mode offline (not availabe from LIVE)
- New difficulty modes and rankings for Master Ninja Tournament (not available from LIVE)
- Over 50 new bonus missions (some from Hurricane Pack 2 on LIVE, many are new)

So yeah, it's pretty much brand new content most of which aren't in the two Hurricane Packs available.

And Ninja Gaiden arcade.

Any word on if the original NG unlockable games are still in this pack? I can use my old copy (sans the awesome wallscroll) to drop the price to 20$ if so.

Answer 2 questions please so I can decide to get this or not:

1. Is Ayame playable?

2. Any of the new costumes are for Ayame? How many for her total in this?
