At the end of the Direct: "Purchase this video of Reggie and Bill Dancing for $59.99 at store.nintendo.com".

...Outsells Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta combined.

For the Japanese direct, well it's passed 1am over there, pretty sure they'll want to announce it when their wans are awake.

Finally. It's been a long wait.

I'm optimistic / rather hopeful that the next ND won't be a repeat of the E3 ND back in June; talking about games we already know much about and new titles amounting to mostly spinoff filler material with no headlining games in sight (which in fairness wasn't necessarily the case until Star Fox Zero got delayed a few months later). Especially since Iwata apologized for the direct in the face of massive disappointment from general fans in its aftermath.

Add to that the five months that have passed since then, and Nintendo still being tight-lipped about their mobile ventures and NX until next year, and I feel Nintendo really can't afford to disappoint again with the upcoming ND in my book. I do hope the games and content that will be shown will address the criticisms of the previous ND, and also have a few genuine pleasant surprises in store.

Holy shit, I can't believe it! I had honestly given up on getting one this year. Awesome! And right when I get off work on Thursday too!

Exactly how I feel. I'm already preparing for disappointment, as Picross 3D 2, Rhythm Heaven, and Monster Hunter X fail to show up.

I'm not even contemplating the possibility of unannounced software.

Oh, I forgot all of these. I expect to see Picross and RH. I doubt we will see anyone but Capcom announce MHX. I feel like there's another JP 3DS game I'm forgetting. Oh. Style Savvy. I bet we see all three of these, with Picross this year (eShop only) and RH/Style next year.

Oh yeah, what are the chances we get Dragon Quest localization announcements?

Highly unlikely. It will be almost all if not all Nintendo announcements + indies.

Didn't they release a major Zelda and Mario game on the same day last year?

This is nothing new for them

That was a 3DS + Wii U, game, though. When have they released two significant Wii U games in one month? I guess XCX and Mario Tennis?

ETA: wait, MT is this month. So, I guess Mario Tennis and Amiibo Festival?

Cool. It's been a
FUCKING
while. Looking forward to see how Nintendo handle this. They will need to drop some serious megatons this time because lately Nintendo it's been as relevant as a flip phone...

Edit: Holy damn Nintendo Direct is even trending worldwide on twitter right now. The thirst is real...

I just want a Pokemon Z trailer with new mega evos, some localizations announced for 3DS (dragon quest, and hopefully the great ace attorney) and a couple of new games for 3DS's last year.

Shovel knight amiibo releases soon
Sakurai is still friends with kojima so he knows the tricks
Free the shovel knight and rage :p

I hope Nintendo cut a check to money hungry Konami so snake can make a surprise appearance tomorrow;)

I am expecting something quite underwhelming for the first direct after Iwata's passing, and given the current predicament of Nintendo. I hope I'm pleasantly surprised, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Finally, it's been so long since the last direct that my hype is on max level now.

I really hope for any zelda information (Zelda TP HD or Zelda U) and Pokemon Z (Full 3D on new 3DS now).. anything else will be a bonus
