Nintendo Downloads - October 2012

LIBERATION MAIDEN is the first title listed in the "Coming Soon" section in the eShop, so America may be getting it next week.

Last Blade 2 is the greatest news of the week. Can't wait to get home and buy it. And it's one more step to Mark Of The Wolves.

So this is the part where I whinge about the US getting a Virtual Console game we don't have yet while we just get a game everyone else got months ago, isn't it? That's the standard operating procedure Americans follow when anyone else gets anything, right?

Everyone wants what everyone else has.

But give me Wario Land II. (Yes, I know, it's dated.)

Hana Samurai! Finally.
Though I preferred the original name in all honesty.

a part of me says I should play more of the NES golf game, but the other half remembers mario golf as being awesome

what to doo

So, Ikachan is probably coming to the 3DS eShop instead of DSiWare.

Mario Golf is so gooooood. Now I just need Tennis and I'm set for life

Thank you NoA for doing something right for once and bringing this over so quickly :3

So, looking at the Retail titles folder on the eShop, I noticed all of these games have 'Price: TBD' on their pages. Granted, it probably means nothing, but Epic Mickey had a Price TBD tag and that's now confirmed digital... so who knows?

Angry Birds Trilogy (Acti)
Finding Nemo (Disney)
NCIS 3D (Ubi)
Moshi Monsters Theme Park (Acti)
Wipeout 3 (Acti)
Rabbids Rumble (Ubi)

Notice that these are all Ubisoft and Activision games, along with Disney's FN game, and they're putting EM2 on eShop. Maybe Ubi and Acti are going to announce digital support soon? Or maybe it's just a mistake :/

Also, even though all of these games are labeled as Retail-Only, Professor Layton is labeled as Retail Only (w/ a Price TBD tag) and that's confirmed for digital release...

Will be curious how Mickey's price works out because if you order it through Amazon you get 5 dollars off for preordering. If you do it through Gamestop, you get the 5 and Oswald Ears. I wonder if the digital will be 5 off or regular priced or less

I'd be very (pleasantly) surprised if the digital version was less than $40

I don't think I like Mario Golf GBC nearly as much as Mario Tennis, but I've only played an hour so I'll reserve judgment. It actually has some of the same issues that NES Open Golf does, namely the really difficult to judge putting. But I'm sure I can adjust eventually

Also the character sprites are a lot uglier than Tennis. I miss Alex's cocky smirk

Just got the LOTR demo, I just want to stare at that ring in 3d looks fantastic, however the volume levels on the game are awful , I cant hear anything during cutscenes thank god they put in subs. Truly the worst Ive heard or not heard on 3DS yet

Thank God I'm not crazy. The ring is just SO beautiful. If that screen ran at 60FPS I wouldn't ever be able to look away.

Yea, the sound isn't great but overall the game is at least much better than LEGO Batman 3DS....

Patiently waiting for the Sonic Transformed demo though.

These impressions got me interested, I hope someone will put a video on YouTube soon.

There seem to be audio issues with a lot of 3DS demos, presumably because they're compressing everything to keep the file size under a certain cap. The final game may very well sound fine.

Really hope we get Mario Tennis sooner rather than later as well. Golf is ok but I was much more into Tennis.

And hopefully PAL doesn't have to wait too much longer for it either!

I'm pretty sure all they did was give us the Marvel Version of the game as a standalone instead

aww. can't blame them since that version most likely sold better than what the DLC could have sold.
i might pick it up down the line if i feel like playing more pinball.

I need to jump in here and say I'm annoyed with this apparent new trend of dialogue in LEGO games.

Haha, I guess I'm not the only person who enjoyed staring at that ring. Probably had more fun doing that than playing the actual demo.

Actually, according to the Nicalis blog, they're still releasing it for DSiWare, it's just also getting an eShop release. That way, both systems get to play it in their native resolutions.
I'm completely OK with this. Hopefully they implement the same wonderful 3D that Cave Story+ uses.

Nicalis is pretty much my favorite eShop publisher. Both Cave Story and VVVVVV are great. Nightsky, Ikachan and that fighting game look awesome too. Hopefully everything sells well for them.

btw, did the DLC for Zen Pinball ever come out?

Nope, just Marvel Pinball as a standalone game.

I might have bought some DLC if it came out before now. With the existence of the superior Zen Pinball 2 on Vita, I can't see myself buying tables for the 3DS game.

(lazy crossposting, I know)

NOE is officially ending their Wii Connection Ambassador promotion on November 21, so if you're in the PAL region and know some people with Wii consoles that have never connected to the internet, you'd better work quickly if you wanna redeem those free points/games (or help out other posters!). No digital Mario Tennis Open for west, the only game I don't have... Probably it'll be out with the next batch, including Pilotwings Resort, Pokémon Rumble Blast and Tetris Axis.
