I wish the levels in the new Super Mario Bros looked more like the levels in Super Peach.


Man, those are classic SNES style levels. The new SMB game looks more NES style.

the graphics in Peach are what the graphics in the New Super Mario Bros should be. It might be that Peach will be the "traditional" Mario platformer, while New Super Mario Bros will try for something different and unique.

Edit: Also, for the sake of Square working on a Mario game, and porting the first 6 Final Fantasies to the GBA (Except for 3 which is DS bound) why arent they porting Mario RPG? Is it too late to hit the Mario horse again?

Super Princess Peach does indeed look fantastic. I don't understand why Nintendo has chosen to go with 3d graphics for games like Mario and Wario. Though the ultra generic art in both those titles doesn't help either.

With crappy graphics. It's way too bland, needs to be stylized. Even cel-shading it would improve the overall graphics 100-fold over what they have now.

However, I'm sure it will be fun, just disappointing to look at.

Wait wait wait, I bother poor Neo for the link and finally get everything downloaded, and there's no Super Mario Bros 2 music? What the fuck is this? I can understand no Yoshi's Island tunes - it's a Mario CD. But no Mario Bros 2 theme? No Character select song? BLASPHAMY!

On the other hand, I just about shit my pants when I heard the ending music to Super Mario World play. I *love* that song.

It's also hilarious they have a soundclip of the infinate lives trick in there. :lol

Uh..they redesigned him back in 2002 or 2003 and thats the new style now. The new design is taller, skinner, less deformed, smaller eyes, lighter skin, lighter shades of blue and red on the suit....it seems pretty apparent to me.
