old?

Beginning next week, Nintendo will be setting up various DS demonstration pods in stores everywhere, allowing gamers to give the magical gizmo a good touching up before they purchase. Various titles will be available for playing; it should be a great opportunity for those unsure if they want to pick one up come March

Im impressed!

I thought it was just going to be some generic white cupboard with the logo plastered over it in one colour.

You'll have to scrape the sticky crust off of the touch screen before you can use it, though.

Kids really love to torture that machine, though. At a local EB, both screens on the DS look at if someone attached a razor blade to the now stolen stylus. Half the time, kids start by touching the TOP screen and get upset when it doesn't work. Still, despite the scratches, the machine still works. Seems rather durable.

Almost seems like a plot to screw with Sony's PSP kiosk (whenever that shows up). Kids will run in with DS on the brain and immediately start to touch the beautiful PSP screen, which will result in a messy looking demo unit in no time.

I was thinking more of the snot nosed brats and their jam covered dough digits, but yours works, too.
this has always struck me as odd, but the "snot nosed brats" always seem to have some sort of sticky sugar substance covering thier fingers, which is then liberally applied to the surface of the touch screen, even though most of the demo units i've seen usually you'd have to be at least 4 feet high to use with any sort of purpose. every demo unit ive seen, in almost 10 stores, has not had a single problem with it.

I love it. I hope there's a surprise announcement in Paris that this comes in Feb like Australia. I can't wait to get one! :lol

Anyone think they could have done with that street lamp design when the original GBA was launched? :D

Good observation on the height. Could be intentional.
