Nintendo DS = One tough cookie

Don't try this at home. I'm a professional!

Recharge adapter in socket while connected to DS + Corpseweed familiar + Rare Ring + Subterranean Hell(room west of save room) + Ghouls = a lvl 99 Soma Cruz

10/13 - 7:40PM = lvl44
10/13 - 8:54PM = lvl46
10/13 - 11:39PM = lvl50

10/14 - 1:13AM = lvl53
10/14 - 10:12AM = lvl62
10/14 - 12:09PM= lvl64
10/14 - 4:35PM = lvl67
10/14 - 10:02PM = lvl71

10/15 - 12:21AM = lvl73
10/15 - 10:09AM = lvl79
10/15 - 2:30PM = lvl82
10/15 - 5:00PM = lvl83

10/16 - 3:00AM = lvl84

10/17 - ?:?? (forgot to look)

10/18 - 12:48AM = lvl86

10/19 - 10/23 (was busy; forgot it was still on)

10/24 - 5:32PM = lvl97

I gained the last two levels the old fashioned way. I think the fact that my DS is still in perfect working condition(despite one stuck pixel, which I might add was there when I bought it) proves it's one tough cookie.

EDIT: I forgot to add. You need to equip the Tree-ent soul as well for mana regen or else the familiar will drain all your mana. You need a familiar that uses 3mp every few seconds. Maybe the more Tree-ent souls you collect, the more mana regen you can gain. I'm not sure, but I've collected a ton of bat souls and now I have three bats following me around instead of one. It might have to do with Soma's actual level though.

I have no idea what you are talking about.

I agree with post 2.

I dropped my DS on the second day it was out, while showing it to a friend. The hinge cracked. I got another one, fortunately.

DS != tough cookie.

LoL. What do you mean you don't know what I'm talking about? You played Castlevania SotN didn't you? When you get a familar, find a spot where monster respawn constantly.

I left my DS plugged in for 12 days straight while the familiar cleaned house. =P

I never understood why people did that. Easily one of the most retarded and self-defeating "feats" out there in gaming are those that have to do with leaving the game on for days at a time will it racks up xp/money/etc.

So, good job, and all that. Way to go. Definitely something to brag about.

Yeah, try leveling up your whole party to level 99 in Breath of Fire III like my little brother did... or hit any character's max in a Nippon Ichi SRPG...

I needed an edge. I suck and couldn't beat the guy in the mirror. =(

Were you expecting the DS to implode after a few days?

No.. explode!

Look, it's your game...do what you want with it.

I just don't get this thinly veiled "Hey guyz lol sploitz 4tw m i rite" thread you've created. The DS's ability to stay on for any length of time while plugged into a charger shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.

Wow that's pointless abuse of a system. If you have the mothman soul, black panther soul, and shaman ring, it's incredibly easy to level up quickly. Heck I got to level 99 without even trying when I was soul hunting but that's another story. In order to level up very, very fast, just go to the hidden area near the homunculuses where there is a ton of Frogmen lined up in a row. Just equip the Valmanway, or preferably the Nunchaku if you have it, and the souls/equipment I mentioned and you'll be able to get about 1300 EXP for about 5 seconds of work. Then just run off screen, run back on, and repeat. If you do have the Chaos Ring, then equip it to your alternate set and switch to it when you need to recharge from all that Black Panther running. I went from about level 40 in my third game to about level 60 in less than an hour.

Not Paranoia. The other guy in the mirror. The one you need Paranoia's ability to fight.

On another note, I got 5 stars with all characters in RE4 mercenaries. That's gotta count for something. =)

Oh, that boss is fun. Try upping your magic stat and use the obvious element that is strong against it (moot point since you're at level 99).

And no that doesn't. Stop dwelling in the past and put up with the present. :P

the only time I ever left a ssystem running that long was the 20 hours of multiplayer to unlock mewtoo on Smash Melee. This is just ridiculous however

I would say it's faster to kill the 4 bugbears with all exp equipment + aguni soul on to gain exp. lvl 99 wouldn't take long to reach then.

DS != tough cookie.

Let me see, the structural weak point cracked when you dropped it? Gee, never saw that coming.

If you ever plan on not using your DS for a few days, you might as well have Nintendo will fix the screen (unless you did something to void the warranty). I got my DS back in 4 business days after dropping it off at FedEx... 2 days to get to Nintendo, they shipped it the day they recieved it and then 2 more days to get back to me.

My DS warranty was supposed to expire in 2 months, but after I got the DS fixed, my warranty was extended for another 12 months. (I don't know if they always do this)
