The 'add to your calendar' feature is actually really neat. Auto timezone adjuster!
Yes, I'm easily impressed.

I'm kind of terrible at this. Couldn't get the colors to match that well :\

Amazing! Thank you.

Maybe they'll show the rest of the games they didn't have time to show at their conference.

It'll probably be like the short presentation last year where Ubisoft showed off Ghost Recon and Killer Freaks, with more detail and hands-on stuff. Ordinarily I'd say that it's maybe

One thing does make me curious, though: Have they ever streamed it before? That suggests to me that there's something they want us to see in it. Could we be looking at another SSBB reveal trailer-type scenario, given how well that went down?

Nintendo has been streaming their conferences for a very long time now. And SSBB's reveal was never shown to the public, the trailer was released later after journalists saw it first.

I was talking specifically about the 'software showcase', on the assumption that it is the dev roundtable type event.

I know they are hosted on Nintendo.com, but I'm not sure about them being live. Dev roundtables are usually liveblogged by journalists, but never streamed as far as I can remember. Nintendo did put up one roundtable up on the Nintendo Channel on the Wii one year, however; but it was edited.

No they've never streamed it before.

It'll probably be a very different kind of thing from previous dev roundtables since they've renamed it as software showcase.

Been discussed already. But to put things into perspective.

1. Nintendo Press Conference - Tons of news games announced and videos.
2. Nintendo Press Kits - More games announced, more details, some release dates, developer confirmations.
3. Developer Round Table - More game information revealed. Sometimes an additional game is teased.

4. Nintendo.com Software Showcase - is going to be a video montage of e3 floor stuff most like. Not like an additional set of new games announced. We saw this last year on their site. Besides look at the 3 events before hand. Already more than you can handle.
5. Nintendo.com Eguchi Interview - is not the developer round table. Again, like last year, this will be a scripted Nintendo video interview.

No they've never streamed it before.

Which is why - dredging up my original point - I'm assuming that it's because there's something that they want us to *see* there, rather than something they want us to hear about second-hand.

(Although, that said, it might just be that the focus of that will be along the lines of "Here's how the pad makes things better", without all that slowing down their main conference. I can see that being useful, too.)

So basically it's everywhere now?!?!?!?

Good. I'd like to watch it on my TV, but will probably settle for streams.

Edit:
What if Nintendo takes the whole one hour of the conference only for the Wii U, and then the Software Showcase will be for everything else? 3DS and some Wii, maybe more Wii U.

I don't think I'd like that. I really love my 3DS. Just because WiiU is coming out doesn't mean they have to neglect the 3DS in their conference.

WISH IT WAS A BIT LONGER THOUGH!!!!

Yeah, I wish it was about an hour and fifteen or twenty minutes, giving a lot of time for both Wii U and 3DS. You know they'll mention Pokemon Black and White 2 a bit too.
