Just wait till the 10th, we all will be jittery after sony/ms conferences then Nintendo, the last one will have us shaking. We will be up for 24hours because of hype. Some people may pull all-nighters and cant sleep. You should be glad you are not too hype right now.
Of course, I also love dreaming. So, for fun, I gave you all the madness on the previous couple pages, lol.![]()

VegaNine said:Iwata: Just the opposite! (laughs) Try touching mine, and see if it makes you older.
Sakurai: Perhaps it will make me wealthy!
Iwata: Perhaps it will keep you employed.
*Sakurai rubs Iwata's cheek*
Ha, I really have.
My actual expectations are as follows:
- Smash Bros.
- Mario
- Mario Kart
- Wind Waker
- TW101
That's it. If I get some nice new material on those five titles, I'm happy. Anything else is a bonus.
Seeing Retro's title would be incredible. But I'm not counting on it.

That's it, Neiteio! We must bring forth a new age of hype! A better hype.
Errors get me pretty hyped too. Imagine what could have been there.
So how many people will think this Iwata Asks was real?

Though I'm wondering, where did you find the pictures of Iwata and Sakurai sitting a table with beer?
Yea...you have a epic week lolwell, the week is going to be super epic for me anyways, have a week off of work, graduating, family visiting, animal crossing, the last of us, nintendo direct (is this live streamed?!?)
HYPE. I think I hyped myself a bit too much as I type this. gonna go grab a soda and a slice of cake and try to contain (unleash) the hype
Yea...you have a epic week lol
If I was you I would play lotteryedit: double post sorry
This actually happened, somehow. I don't think this new one can be mistaken in the same way, though.
They were scattered all throughout the official Brawl Asks. It's a long feature-- you can actually see the glasses empty and refill.

What's the chance of Nintendo announcing a Gamepad+ with a higher (720p?) resolution, larger battery, etc? I am just trying to think of positive reasons why Nintendo has yet to sell Gamepad's in stores besides Japan.
Is that the one where Sakurai seems really nervous? I remember reading one where Iwata gushes about Sakurai being a supergenius that knows every detail about a game from the planning stage, and Sakurai's response is something like "Uh. Thanks."
Hey Joe -- webmaster of my favorite Pokémon site, serebii.net -- what's the lowdown on this Pokémon XY deal going on later in the day June 11?Very slim. Doing that would require more taxing on the Wii U's processing power. It won't happen. They're releasing larger batteries, however
I've read that VegaNine skit like 10 times now.
VegaNine, please start a Kickstarter to write a Fake Iwata Asks book. I'm not even kidding. You have an amazing ear for dialogue and your comedic timing is impeccable.![]()

That might be the Kid Icarus one. He seemed really upbeat in the all pictures from the Brawl Asks. But in the KI one, he usually looked like this:
I would figure that it's more due to demand. There's no games that require a second gamepad yet, so why would the average person buy one? The inventory would just be rotting there in store. Not something retailers want.
Actually, I think it was the Brawl one after all. I guess I interpreted it in a weird way.
Iwata
My decision to pursue the project in this way rested on one point and one point alone, and it is deeply tied to the point about which I have the utmost faith in a man named Masahiro Sakurai. To state it simply, you are capable of taking a project with nothing and visualizing a completed game almost perfectly in your head. As I mentioned earlier, you and I have a long history working together at HAL Laboratory. When involved on the same project, you were able to point out the smallest details even when the product had yet to take shape. The details were so small and so specific that, as a programmer, I thought there was no way you could know what you knew without actually trying it first. As the game progressed and took shape, however, it was clear that we needed to address the details in just the way you had described. So I would ask "did you really know this right from the start?" I mean, this was over ten years ago, but I remember you said you did and I thought to myself "is this guy for real?" As it happened over and over again, however, I had little choice but to believe you. I dont know how, but youre able to visualize a game right down to its very details, as if the finished game is working inside your mind. If not, how else could you have been right so many times? Even now, Masahiro Sakurai, of all the people that I know, you especially can readily form an image of how a game will look when finished. Thats why I knew that you would be capable of putting together the ideas of the talented staff around you. If you dont have a person like that pulling together different ideas, you need a lot of trust within the team or the project will not go anywhere. When a project has just begun, its natural for directions to come from a vague concept of the product. Its natural for there to be revisions and twists and turns, and as this continues, the project becomes something different than it was at the start. This is not necessarily a bad thing and happens all the time when designing games. However, this only works because of the trust built up from the past of a long working relationship. Thats why it was so unusual to recruit outside staff solely for the purpose of making such a large-scale game. Yet it was exactly this type of thinking on which I was betting our success.
Sakurai
Wow uh, thanks for the words of praise. (laughs)
Maybe the beer glasses explain it.
That is a pretty insane compliment. I would not know how to react to that either.
Makes VegaNine's Iwata Asks even better though. Sakurai is totally Iwata's bishie.

that right there was pretty well made
i doubt they lost money on it, but i'm sure their expectations were much higher.

1.05 million. Not too impressive.
