The revolution is at this point entirely faith based. I dont even like trolling Nintendo fans because its like going to utah and trying to tell mormons that golden plates make no sense.

We dont have specs, but they say WOW.

We dont have games, but they say WOW.

Online has never been done by them, but XBox Live should 'watch out'.

We have a render of the unit People clamor around it screaming revolution. Wtf.

Now to be fair Sony has almost as much, but to their credit they do have the most successful console runs at their backs.
 
Does that make you one of the guys that hates religion for causing bad relations between people only to turn around and participate in and cause violence?

On the serious side, what are these golden plates? I don't know anything about religion.
 
Well GAF is not really a great place to talk about games anymore. Whenever I speak out against Nintendo I feel like the kid who accidently used the lords name in vain when I fell trying to climb a tree.

You're right, people are supporting/in favor of the Revolution based on faith (and well, past history I would say).

This reminds of me of the boat loads of people supporting/in favor of the Xbox months before it's release. Only difference was that they truly only had faith (no past console history).

There are always going to be people that support products (Look at Ngage and Gizmondo, PHANTOM).

Surely if there were supporters of the Phantom, you shouldn't be surprised to see people supporting the Revolution!

Hey I'm a huge Nintendo fanboy, but even I won't make baseless speculation about Nintendo's graphical power. I only know that the potential for the remote is great. I don't want to think more about it, though, until actual games are shown in action.

Wow. You're awesomely ignorant. Religion aside, you've got some history to study. Ancient civilizations recorded information on metal plates for many, many, years. Just because you don't understand something (and it seems like there are a lot of somethings for you), it doesn't mean it's wrong, stupid, annoying, dumb, idiotic, biased, skewed, insane, lame, etc. Grow up, boy.

Hell, Sony has way more going for it than the Rev. Real-time footage of games, specs, a list of upcoming games, physical hardware prototypes.

I understand N-fans really liking Nintendo's games. I don't understand them being happy with a company that forces them to buy special hardware to play those games. I think Nintendo knows that the value of their consoles is going down as third party support dwindles, and that's why they keep their systems cheap and refuse to talk about specs. They want to apologize to people for offering them only 1st party content and weaksauce ports, by only charging them $100-$150 for the console.

Sadly, they are probably wise to do it, since they make money on their hardware and need it to survive. Nintendo going third party would destroy it. An even sadder sight is watching their fans wave their little Nintendo flags in utter denial, and people like Ruzbeh who say things like "I'm only buying a Revolution next gen." It's like, they're not even gamers. They're participants in some kind of weaning process from their own childhoods. Maybe someday people like Ruzbeh will finally grow out of it and say "fuck this, there are better games out there." Or better yet, accept that they aren't even gamers and reclaim all that wasted time and energy in their lives.

I havent said WOW to any Revolution games...because I havent seen one. But seeing how Nintendo has most of the best franchises ever, I'll gladly take them over most.

What? I didn't need any special hardware(except the console of course) to play Zelda, Metroid or Mario don't really understand this.

Go ahead and tag me as the Stormin' Mormon or whatever...I really don't care. I'm just saying that there is absolutely NO REASON to act in a derogatory fashion towards anybody based on faith, race, or gender. I really don't care what anybody around thinks about what I believe in, but it's just not appropriate behavior in a VIDEOGAME forum to sit and spew intentionally rude and insensitive insults around about anybody's religion.

Carry on though, I'll find better threads to waste my work time in.

I'm not surprised at all if someone "misses" something in one of your posts. There used to be a time when I thought that nothing could be less entertaining than reading one of your trite "rants," and I employ the word grudgingly because it brings with it a sense of flow and coherence and ideally compels the audience to read it. But you kept raising the bar, and I give you credit for that, with each post. Impressive was the rate at which their quality degraded, their self-absorption gimmick became even cornier, and the distance you had to reach for face-falling jokes increased. But, hey, put in a few curses and who'll notice?
