Probably all the announcement related to Switch 2 versions are going to be made on a Nintendo partner showcase, Not in a Geoff show. What happened yesterday made no sense. Code Vein 2 was announced and there was no NS2 version, Onimusha was shown and there was no NS2 version, a new RE was announced and there was no NS2 version and so with a ton of multiplatform games, it's something that Nintendo should fix, there's no excuse anymore.
I hope we get plenty of gorgeous Zelda remakes until then. I want them to look like Orioto paintings:Wasn't one rumoured? Though we aint getting a Zelda in years, 3D Mario is ripe for a release though since we haven't had one for 8 years... also 40th anniversary and all.
They figured it out and they will. First they'll port all the remakes.Didn't this showcase get like an F- rating from GAF, aside from RE9? Which I'm sure Capcom is figuring out if they can bring to Switch 2 as we speak?
What's with the constant snide meta commentary from you?Obsessions with Directs are bizarre to me. I see it on another site that I visit. People dedicate dozens of topics and thousands of posts to Direct predictions and it is the most hilarious thing ever to me. As if commercials are the solution to anything...
Reports allege that Nintendo may have moved 3M units already.
Three million units.
Three. Million. Units.
Do you think they care about any perceived damage control that a bunch of entitled and desperate brand gamers might need to sleep better at night? They're essentially just finally putting out hardware to match last generation and people are eating it up. Directs don't mean shit other than dopamine hits for the brand faithful.
AbsolutelyI remember when we have to wait a whole year for a E3 to see new announcements. Thanks Nintendo for the direct format… These days people are too desperate.

Then Nintendo needs to learn to let go and stop being control freaks and let people announce their own games.Probably all the announcement related to Switch 2 versions are going to be made on a Nintendo partner showcase, Not in a Geoff show.
They created the direct format for something, giving all the announcements to Geoff is like going back to the E3 era… Also, if they make that you will see people saying that the direct doesn't showed any new announcements. Then Nintendo needs to learn to let go and stop being control freaks and let people announce their own games.
This is like when Persona 3P, 4G, and 5R were all announced for Xbox and Playstaion and Atlus didn't say shit until two weeks later when Nintendo let it be announced via a Partner Showcase.
At some point you're just playing with your diehard fanbase and for what?
Gex 3D is amazing, a gem from the 32/64-bit era
Iwata was a visionary. Even people within Nintendo, there was a lot of uncertainty on this whole "Nintendo Direct" idea. Isn't it crazy how far the Nintendo Direct has come since October 2011.I remember when we have to wait a whole year for a E3 to see new announcements. Thanks Nintendo for the direct format… These days people are too desperate.
*Looks at shelf of 400+ Switch games, and how 80% of them are not Nintendo made...*
Maybe, but it means that there is a wide variety of games on the platform. Enough that third party publishers saw the Switch as a viable platform.Having that many games means your tastes are irrelevant to the acerage player.
I hope they are holding everything back, but I don't think that makes much sense. And I believe we had similar copium back when Switch 1 released.
Is that a negative? Do you really want more new IP when this is what they're delivering…?Doesn't matter. Will be all ports or sequels anyway.
Well, no. But unless you are 12, most already have either a PS5 or XSX so most of those ports we have already played (on better systems). Is that a negative? Do you really want more new IP when this is what they're delivering…?

Don't read too much into that. These trailers were likely submitted weeks ago.I think I saw one single Switch logo on the Xbox showcase. I certainly hope Nintendo is readying more announcements. Why bother buying exclusivity for Duskbloods unless you intend to provide that audience with more games in that vein?
Because weeks ago no devs knew about the Switch 2? Makes sense.Don't read too much into that. These trailers were likely submitted weeks ago.
switch1 had 2 old aaa game sells 150 millions ahahaI think I saw one single Switch logo on the Xbox showcase. I certainly hope Nintendo is readying more announcements. Why bother buying exclusivity for Duskbloods unless you intend to provide that audience with more games in that vein?
They were likely completed before it was officially revealed smart assBecause weeks ago no devs knew about the Switch 2? Makes sense.
The Switch 2 was announced in January in a Nintendo direct. They were likely completed before it was officially revealed smart ass
I'm talking about the release date which was announced a few weeks ago. Publishers aren't beelining Switch 2 ports of games that have been in development for other platforms. There's going to be a delay in most cases. The Switch 2 was announced in January in a Nintendo direct.
You wouldn't see any new third party game announcement for the Switch 2 outside of a Nintendo direct… Tony Hawk 3+4 was already announced for Switch 2 in a direct. The only Switch 2 logo I saw in the Xbox Showcase was for Tony Hawk 3+4.
With the PS5 logo on almost everything, it probably would have been better not to have Switch 2 there at all, leaving us to speculate, rather than just confirming it for a single game.
At the very least, it probably confirms none of those games will launch on Switch 2, with ports to come much later. At worst, it might suggest most of them aren't coming to Switch 2 at all.
That doesn't make sense, Microsoft is a third party company, they are going to support every platform available im the market. Also de ROG is just a PC Handheld. Its now confirmed that Microsoft will not be a supporter of the Switch 2. Their focus is on the Xbox ROG handheld as well as Playstation ports. This means that yet another big publisher is removed as a possible supporter of Switch 2.
Nintendo first party games just became even more important for Switch 2 success.
