Anyway, I got the first of my three free NP issues (from the Nintendo.com registration deal before), the August 2005 one (Mario in a kart is on the cover, with the title, "Ready for Wi-Fi"), flipped it open, and was surprised to see an OPM-like DVD enclosure, with a ton of video trailers listed (at my count, 30). It highlights an exclusive of "The new E3 2005 LEGEND OF ZELDA trailer in Dolby Digital." so that should be nice for audiophiles.

It's not a playable demo disc, but it's definitely a good start.

Plus an article on Yusuke Nakano, Nintendo's illistrator who I've never seen credited for anything. He has done all the art for the 3D Zeldas.

I was shocked to see that this was actually a decent issue of Nintendo Power. :lol

Considering it lists the September issue as my final of the three, I'm pretty sure they intend to still send me July's.

I think it was a special thing to go along with their E3 report. But maybe they'll do another one for Spaceworld/TGS.

AFAIK, Nintendo/Factor 5 was always saying that Dolby Digital had lag, making it unsuitable as a videogame technology.

It was all the fanboys who kept turning it into "Nintendo hates quality audio".
