Neopets Puzzle Adventure (Wii/DS)
- Infinite Interactive (Puzzle Quest), Wi-Fi on DS

nice about wifi for DS version. i wanted to get puzzle quest but lack of wifi kept me away. dont know about this game but it seems similar ill buy it

Thankfully Tenchu isn't being developed by Ubisoft. Just published.

I'm very interested about what they say on MadWorld. Anything new?

Mad World
Violence is so over-the-top as to be hilarious
Primarily developed for an American audience, so they've done research as to accomplish the above ^
A button for basic chainsaw attacks
B button to start finishing attacks - follow on-screen motion prompts
Additional weapons can be purchased (daggers described), with unique movesets
No puzzle stages; intended to be a game you can play for short bursts if you want
Bloodbath Challenges - minigames like Man Darts and Death Press - gambling aspect
Boss battles will be even more extravagant than the usual combat
B&W styling used to lessen the realism of the violence rather than going cartoony
Rock soundtrack
Color commentary
Looking to change the stereotype that the Wii controller isn't suited to action games

Mega Man 9
- leaderboards, DLC

Whaaaa???
Yeah, no one picked up on that in the mega-thread, for some reason. I put the quote in there to jumpstart, haven't checked in on it since.

We could go on about how Mega Man 9 features classically influenced game design and thumb-busting challenge, enhanced with features such as online leaderboards and downloadable content, but instead we'll go straight to the source

Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon (Wii) - 7.5
The Incredible Hulk (DS) - 7.5

Well, that's a good score for wait what?

I know review scores are ridiculous, and comparing review scores is by extension exponentially ridiculous, but seeing those two side-by-side made me do a double-take.

The Chocobo review sounds better than a 7.5, for what it's worth. The Hulk DS game sounds like they went the TMNT GBA route - real basic 2D action game that is good for what they gave you.

What are the reader's and staff's most wanted VC titles?
Readers
Earthbound
Mother
Mario RPG
Chrono Trigger
Smash Bros 64

Staff
Castlevania: Rondo of Blood
Mega Man: The Wily Wars
Terranigma
Mario All-Stars
Super Punch-Out

apparently the DS hulk is way different from the wii version, since the latter only got a 3.5

Sonic Unleashed
-2 goals: entertain with trademark spee and more-refined gameplay in 2D and 3D; new actions for Sonic
-Wii stages share the same themes with PS360 version, but different designs to take advantage of the remote. Helped by Sonic Advance 2 and Sonic Rush teams
-Same actions in different versions (I guess that means tackled on waggle): buttons for basic actions, certain actions involve motion control
-Interactive combat sequences using motion sensing in remote and nunchuk
-Quick Step (evade obstacles without slowing), Sonic Boosts (hyperaccelerate/blow up objects)
- Action-Chaining: earn more energy by stringing together actions leading to special moves and shortcuts
- QTE for branching paths like PS360
- No passage of time during levels - day and night cycles are fixed to certain events/locations
- Originally envisioned as Sonic Adventure 3
- No multiplayer or online modes

Could you type out the top 20 for every system?
I was thinking about it, I'll get those spit out later tonight.

Could you type up anything interesting on Castlevania Judgment? Like I dunno..anything to make people think its not going to be a turd. :lol

Am I the only one who hates leaderboards, is like the game is trying to tell you that you suck :lol Also, how is DLC a selling point, if they are planing dlc this early, I guess they are keeping stuff to put out after release. Anyway, can wait for MM9

Wait, what what???
That was my reaction. I skipped over it on my first flip through the mag thinking it was some shitty ad since there was no title. He's got stubble, and his kid schools him at Mario Kart Wii. After he forced the boy to watch The Wizard.

And then he checks to make sure his kid isn't wearing a bowtie.

Also on my to do for later, assuming there's anything that fits that criteria.

So...it's not a PS2 port?

THANKS!

I wonder why the newcomer "Castlevania: Rondo of Blood" has pushed down Mega Man: The Wily Wars for first place in the staffs' list. I can see where Mega Man 9 WiiWare would overshadow Mega Man: The Wily Wars VC, but where'd Castlevania come from and why?

I also noticed the SS64 made the reader's list. I guess that's a SSBB bump.

BAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN'

Seriously, it's awesome they still haven't forgotten their roots.

Thanks for all the info botticus.

MadWorld sounds awesome. Sonic...not so much.
How dare you insult SONIC ADVENTURE 3(!!!) :lol Actually I'm just happy that they invited the Sonic Rush team to help them out.

What's Dokapon Kingdom?

Because Rondo of Blood is considered one of the best in the series. It makes perfect sense.

Best ratings scale ever. I'm not even kidding.
Well, it's actually different, officially. I just shortened it for my benefit. You decide which is better: "Recommended", "Hmmmm..." and "Grumble Grumble."

I like your wording better, but the concept itself is still a good one.

They're using Grumble Grumble? What the hell does that even mean? :lol :lol
