Nintendo Revolution controller: iPod-inspired
By Jeremy Horwitz | 09.15.05
Based on early reports (and since the words appear to be used in every article), it will be interesting to see if any account of the new Nintendo Revolution controller does not use the phrase iPod-inspired or something of the sort. I would have picked the phrases DVD player-inspired and Dreamcast-inspired instead.
If youre saying, what the...? right now, the answer is that Nintendo believes that games need to be simpler, and therefore controllers need to be simple and accessible. (Didnt work so well for GameCube, last I checked.) So they made this. Attachments plug into the bottom, and it senses the direction you move it in, like a wand. And it rumbles. Okay.
Id write more on this, but I cant claim to be interested enough to do so.
