Nintendo Revolution

I have a hypothetical question for yall... if you had a choice between:

1. Revolution being like PS3 and 360 - more expensive, crazy next-gen graphics, lots of media capabilities, standard controller

or

2. The way it is now - Revmote, much cheaper, 'new way of playing games', new game genres, inferior tech (graphics wise), little media support

Which would you choose? I'm a graphics whore...so I guess I would choose #1. I think if i really wanted to play weird, quirky games i'd just get a DS

Nintendo is going in a different direction because there are two companies doing the high end expensive systems. Blue oceans and all that

4. this thread is dumbbbbbb

Ah guys, how can you all be so rude to eeyore? Just look at him. :(

Anyway, I'd pick #2. Xbox360 and PS3 can provide me with impressive gfx and high budget games. I'm glad Nintendo took another aproach.

Just what we needed, yet ANOTHER speculative thread on a system that is a good year away, wheeee!

And to answer your question I will take number 2. If it kicks off and is awesome then great for everyone and I can be guaranteed to own at least 2 consoles next gen. If it fails then it will only effect Nintendo and we still have PS3 and Xbox 360. At least this way Nintendo is taking a chance. If they had stayed the same as they did with Gamecube they would have just guaranteed themselves a third spot again and the same if not lower sales going into next gen.

The way it is now. We've got two graphical powerhouse consoles duking it out, I'd rather have a quirky alternative to the mainstream.

Not to mention one console out of three that's going to cost under $200 being a good thing for the wallet.
