Nintendo sould have launched the DS with Wario Ware here...

Everytime I have to explain the benefits of the DS to the GBA, I envariably bring up Wario Ware Touched!, a game that isn't going to launch till 3 months from now. The game would have been the PERFECT thing to show off the systems capabilities in a meaningful way. Hell, it would have sold me on the machine...bah Nintendo, bah.

I dunno. DSs are gonna be almost completely sold out until about the time Touched! hits anyway. Seems about perfect, to me. From Nintendo's standpoint, not a consumer's. I want the goddanm game now.

lol, I'm just bitter. I want my wario ware goodness for the holidays, that's all. I beat the snot out of Wario Ware for the GBA...I miss wacky mini-gamed goodness like only Nintendo can do.

Wario Ware would indeed have been such a perfect title. I'm very tempted to import it.

IAWTP (thanks CVXFreak :))

I would have bought a DS if there were more than just SM64x4 + FTM at launch

You could always import, like I did. Granted, it's more expensive, and it will be in Japanese, but the option is there...

Doesn't Feel The Magic make use of all those same features that Wario War Touched! does?

The DS would've sold out with only Mario, Spiderman, and another game at launch, with a couple of other titles dotted through December. Between Mario and Feel the Magic, you have a solid demo of the DS's capabilities. And that's not even including Metroid Hunters. Warioware Touched! would've been welcome, but completely unnecessary, especially considering the system will be out for a little over a month this year.

They're similar, but Wario is the cream of the crop.

I'm not disputing that, but the point is that Feel The Magic makes use of all those features, but is getting little attention unlike Wario Ware most likely will.

The reason Wario will get much more attention is because it will have a rediculous amount of replayability (which i think FTM lacks) and Nintendo has showed that the Wario Ware series is incredibly addictive with the previous iteration(s). FTM is more like an appetizer (gameplay wise) while wario is the main course.

Right, and I'm not disputing this either, but the original post said:

Feel The Magic does that.

:lol You're right, but most people won't accept feel the magic because they crave sawaru.

Nintendo would not have launch with Mario 64 and Wario. They expect you to buy both and the eprfect timing is to delay one of those. And Mario has to be at launch according Nintendo.
