Why is everyone assuming the NX version of this game is going to be any better?

I would LOVE for this to be the case (better resolution, better frame-rate, etc) but let's remember this is Nintendo....the same Nintendo that released a Gamecube graphically identical version of Twilight Princess for at the time...their next generation console (Wii of course).

Because we can expect the NX to not just be another PS3/360 generation console.

Nintendo may have underpowered consoles but they aren't going to make that same mistake again.

You guys fucking crazy.

How is this game similar to Dark Souls?

You Dark Souls fans...

I haven't seen too much with Dark Souls, but:

  • Weapon durability
  • Stamina meter
  • Counter system

are all new elements (afaik) to TLoZ. They aren't exclusive or first to Souls games, but given that all those elements are present in both and well liked by a large number of folks here, it's no surprise that the comparison is being made.

Anyone else noticed what seemed like a floating island in the sky? Could it be what's left of Skyloft? It would also involve some sort of flying mechanic.

I think some of it is just the art style, but they def could be better. This is why I always roll my eyes at the idea of Nintendo not needing more graphical power.

The only thing that stood out as a bit rough to me were the textures in that starting interior area. And I wish the lilypads moved when Link waded through them instead of just being a static texture. But in general this game is gorgeous, despite the hardware limitations. Hopefully NX will up the fidelity quite a bit.

Wii was a soured up GC, don't compare it to Wii U and NX

still not really impressed until we see more of them just barren wasteland and some bobbling.. until now I don't think this Zelda does anything we haven't already seen in other games
