Not a Nirvana fan whatsoever, but I'm glad that you finally got your boxset. My aunt was one of the band's lawyers during their battle with Courtney Love concerning this set, I heard some pretty interesting stories.

Like?

Most of the material is of really poor recording quality. The compositions that aren't just early demos of album tunes seem to be cut from albums for a reason. That is to say that they aren't very good. Also most of these tunes have found the internet in some form or another in the past 10 years so nothing was really new to me save for maybe the excellent Demo version of "Rape Me" in which you can hear Frances Bean crying.

I like the raw sound of it

I'm still amazed at how they came out with their sound in the late 80's

Most of this stuff could still be a hit if it was released now

you know a bands career is over when they release a BS "live" box set. this stinks of desperation. you'll never be the band you once were nirvana, fade into oblivion!

Btw- Target has them for $27.98! Get it while you can. Some guy there was buying 3 at a time. I got the last one it seems like. And they do take rain checks.

Damn, my scanner isn't working right now, but it's true :p

yeah, I saw one yesterday and the only thing that kept me from buying it was that I didn't have the cash on me. Def. going back today though.

Just picked it up at Target today. Awesome price! Haven't had a chance to listen to any of it yet, but the booklet looks pretty nice.

Got it yesterday. I think its focking great! Even though I've heard a good number of these songs already. Just the fact the quality in some of these songs are a hell alot better than the boot's Ive heard. Its worth it.

Do Re Mi...gave me some chills listening to it for the 1st time. What a awsome song!

underwhelming if you've bought any of the unofficial bootlegs, with the nevermind outtakes the only diamond in the set. Sappy and Gallons of Alcohol are my favorite Nirvana songs of the their latter period.
