White purity? That's weirdly specific wording to be an accident. "Pure" isn't even in the name of the product. This was posted 4 days ago too so it's not like they realized they fucked up and pulled it quickly.

Of course the comment section is about what you'd expect.

Fucking racist (the commentators and Nivea in this case) are what they are.

You can clearly see that you don't need anonymity to show your true colors.

Holy shit just looking at the comment section.

Wow. Did anyone at Nivea actually read those words in a row before publishing ?

What dumbfuck ad department lol..

That is plain stupid

Seeking some sort of shout out by the Orange man at the WH?

I thought the comment section was satirizing the whole thing by pointing out how blatant this shit is.

But that could also be my last bit of hope for humanity protecting itself from being extinguished by putting blinders on me.

they meant to say "White sure is purty"

but I mean if someone is imagining themselves as some pure shapeless white mass with hair....um...

more power to them? stay away from me and my family maybe?

I totally get what they're going for with deodorant, not staining or marks. Absolutely awful message though.

Not just one person, but multiple people would have had this ad run past them and have given their approval. And not a single person piped up and said "hey, maybe not"?

This has to pass a concerted focus test of at least one room full of people if their marketing set up is anything like my company's.

How not a single one of them on a single pass through said "no". Is... Yeah.

I bet they all thought

"yeah that's controversial enough to get attention"

should be a fine for this
