Part of me feels a little bit sad that the No Return scenarios are from the main story. I kind of associate them with this sense of "journey" that playing them detatched from the story feels like it takes the "magic" from them. It would've been nice to have new fresh levels but I guess that would be to much to ask.

I was at least hoping to finally see how much of Joel and Tommy is a reskinned Abby rig for movement, melee etc… nope. Also, weirdly few enemies per wave but then looking at the health drain on grab thins is some basic bitch light mode capture. Might as well just wait till Friday

Joel leaped off the top of a staircase like it was no problem.

Regarding LOU when youre in a big QTE animation, can other enemies attack and shoot you? Or do all the other enemies take a break so it's no concern?

That 4th video where there's bandits around the giant table must be the dumbest AI and cone of vision ever in a game.

Yea but they already did that with the first game and its nultiplayer.

Can we have one TLOU topic without someone derailing it or going off topic with some sort of nonsense?

Why are some posts talking about writing in here? Is that needed in another topic?

Bottom line, you need to play more games.

Obvious hot takes in this thread are obvious, keep em coming folks.

Don't get me wrong. When I saw that AI in TLOU2 I was like, "Fuckin really? Ya'll don't see your boy gettin offed??"
Stealthy gameplay is the worst.

When MGS came out and it was a unique thing to play with cones of vision and hiding around corners it was something new. But 25 years later, I dont think stealthy gameplay and numbnut AI have improved one bit.

You got a bandit choked and lying on the ground in plain view and the lead characters head bobbing up and down above a table and it's sight unseen. a person who is legally blind with 20/400 vision would even notice it.

That shit would absolutely not fly on the higher difficulties. Would've been shot dead immediately.

Visual upgrade seems minimal.

I'll gladly replay the game once the remaster comes out (masterpiece imho) but I really don't see the point of this bonus mode. I mode they spent really low amount of time on this.

tlou2 is the smoothest 3rd person game out there probably.
Besides maybe Metal Gear Solid V, there is no better 3rd person shooter than TLOU2
I'd take Uncharted 4/Lost Legacy over it personally.

My favorite analog controlling third person games still.

It does not have S tier combat.

It has S tier animation.
Nah.. as far as "realistic" gameplay, there's nothing close. Unfortunately.

Just wanted to let you know these posts are embarrassing to read for anyone who actually played the game, and especially those who played at Grounded.

You can customize every aspect of the enemies AI..
You can make it the hardest to play against if you want.

Realistic gameplay?

One of the twitter gifs showed ellie jumping from the top of a ledge like superman and gang attacking enemies. Then did a backwards slide with a backpack on like it's Vanquish.
