For the past few weeks, I've not been able to get any sound in any flash videos at all. Youtube is effectively useless for me at this point. I've tried to reinstall flash but it doesn't seem to be able to get past the installer initialization. The initialization will finish...but the next screen never comes up. The problem happens with both mozilla and IE, so I don't think it's the browser.

Has anyone had this happen to them? Any clues how to fix it?

Google is your friend. no sound, in flash, not working, firefox, IE. Play around with search words till something comes up. I had this problem, but on Linux.
