Nolan's next film is about an advanced helicopter action film

These same sources of mine are refusing to confirm or deny rumor #2. They might be playing mind games with me, but it's all in good fun, at least we now know that Nolan is definitely not shooting a horror film. The second rumor comes from Reddit, and it's gained some major traction in the past few days…

The story goes that Nolan and his team are currently working with the NYPD Aviation Unit. The word is that the film will be an NYC-based futuristic action film about a helicopter pilot cop who heads up the Aviation Unit in the US and the creation of a super advanced yet dangerous helicopter which is also being pursued by terrorists.

i know World of Reel is hit or miss but still interesting

Airwolf was great, but let's not forget about Blue Thunder as well. :)

With so many remakes it's surprising they weren't brought back yet.

I'm holding our hope for my Nolan Directed Hard R Horror Film to be real 👀

I genuinely think I'd prefer the attack helicopter. Nolan's directorial canvas is far too large for horror. I think it'd be a great looking film, but not scary in the slightest. He's too polished for that kind of movie.

But some sort of sci-fi flick about an advanced attack helicopter in New York?

Come on. That shit is right up his alley, and would send him back to doing the kind of stuff I think he's best at: massive scale, epic action in the style of Batman.

Wait, his next film is about an advanced helicopter?

Or his next film is about a film about an advanced helicopter?

A bit like Inception? Am I in an advanced helicopter? Or am I in an advanced helicopter inside a film about an advanced helicopter?

yeah i think i have to agree with this

Nolan's movie are too, in a way, well produced i.e "polished" as you say, and they are also very big which i feel doesn't really work with Horror, which might be weird to say and hard to explain but you get my drift right

I've a hard time seeing this premise being "worthy" of Nolan as he has continuously crawled up his own ass with concepts.

Or maybe he just wants a simple actioner?

Now a drone police state, THAT I could see, but a police run attack helicopter? Nah.

Though if he DOES do it, it had BETTER have the naked yoga peeping tom scene :P

Even for the 80's that scene was....whoa!

So like knight rider but a helicopter?

Tenet is the best worst film in any directors filmography ever.
I watched it four times and never really got the thing about the reversed people having some sort of advantage over the normal ones. It's batshit mental. But then I watched it four times, and will definitely watch it again.

This is how I think it works

Exactly. I watched the whole thing and will never watch it again...but I watched the whole thing and frequently shut movies off if they're not holding my attention. Tenet was a beautiful disaster.

Helicopter will cause time dilation. So you can fly it on your mission but you will stay young and everyone around will age by years when you return. They will think you went awol.

Nolan doesn't really do simple. Unless it's about a man in a bat suit. I'd imagine if there is any truth at all to this rumour, it'd be a movie about the dangers of an out of control police state. He's dabbled with the idea of invasive surveillance in The Dark Knight, and the corrupting use of power is a theme in his movies. He could probably say quite a lot about modern technology and how the government functions with a movie about Blue Thunder 2.

Tenet x Dunkirk basically. Sounds fucking ridiculous, so in. And the Matt Damon casting would make sense for this

Personally, I'm not convinced this rumor is accurate.

It sounds more like a Michael Bay film than a Nolan movie.

The rumor of the vampire movie made more sense since time is a recurring theme in Nolan movies. This advanced helicopter plot sounds like a low budget action movie.

I mean, if we're talking about airwolf, we may as well mention streethawk. That was the shit, and I don't even like iron monkeys.

First Blood by Christopher Nolan

The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly by Christopher Nolan

Ice Pirates by Christopher Nolan

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty by Christopher Nolan

I would really prefer a remake of The Prisoner instead. It feels like it would fit him as it's quite stylish and mind-bending.

Broccolis?

The Broccoli family own Eon Productions / Danjaq Holdings, who own the rights to James Bond (more or less, it's dreadfully complicated). Basically, nothing gets done without their say so, and Nolan would have wanted too much control over the production. They basically just want someone who'll do as their told. It's their ineptitude that's led to such a big delay with the next Bond movie.

I wonder if he has seen 'Highwayman, ' a semi-truck with an inbuilt helicopter that can also go invisible. Many drugs were taken in the creation of this concept, no surprise it only lasted one season.

Nolan never misses. Day uno babyy
Have you seen Tenet?

He went full Nolan with that one. I enjoyed it for what it was, but after 5 viewing and dozens of youtube CG animations, i still have no idea what that movie was about.

You never go full Nolan. Hopefully this is more like Inception than Tenet.
