My God. I know my regular spelling isn't all the great but I need to get a Rosetta Stone in order to translate some of the messages I get on my phone. I do believe that text messaging is the end of the English language, as we know it today

can someone explain to me the point of text messaging? I just signed my little brother up on my phone plan since i have so many minutes to spare, and when i get the first bill, what do i see? The little bitch made like 2000 text messages in one month, good for a nice little $200 bill. Why the fuck don't you CALL the person and TALK to them?

1. Pay the 10 dollars extra and get the unlimited text option.
2. It comes in handy when someone could be at work or the movies where you want to deliver a quick message without causing a scene.

Now then if you furiously sending 50 messages back and forth then yeah you probably need to call.


vtext.com doesn't help the cause. I typed in an 100 character message and it chopped it down to 55 characters.

Text messaging is a 'deferred response' (asynchronous messaging) medium. I've said what I have to say and you can get it whenever and respond to it. I don't need an immediate response - similar to AIM.
